Christian, 28 Nov 2015Just wait till Samsung anounced the S7,if they went to Exyn... moreLOL they already announced two versions, one running Exynos and one running 820 so that must mean they're pretty content with it this time around, thank god because no more corny overheating jokes from a bunch of no name Asians. And out of the 4 major carriers here in the US 2 will offer Exynos and 2 will offer 820. Also, according to an article just posted on this site today Exynos blew away the competition on Antutu benchmarks, we're taking well over 100K here which is very impressive and real world performance should mirror these results and who knows Sammy might show off a few new tricks or two to convince you even further. I'd choose their in house chipset if it wasn't so badly incompatible with custom ROMs like CM. Guess you can rid of that iPhone and join #teamandroid :)

Why every one focus on fact that apple A9 has only 2 cores??
The die size is almost same. They have done nothing but dividing it in 2 parts rather than 4.
Taking that in consideration, 2500 aint a very high score when quad core can get 2250

The A9 with two cores with 123K?! That is normal in Mongoose chipset, now on A9, sincerely i don't believe in that.

Other wise my ip6 is good enough for another year :-)

Christian, 28 Nov 2015You cant blame the people for their oppinions,and after all... moreLet's not go that far back, Android was just a blip on the radar and SD's made them a viable competitor to Apple way before Exynos, forget about Kirins and Helios which wishes they had as big of an impact in the industry. Personally I'd get a 615/617 if I wanted nothing but A53 clusters running my phone but I'd rather get a A57 paired with A53 to futureproof it. I'm gonna skip both and go straight to the 820.

AnonD-463876, 28 Nov 2015You're in the minority on that one, major critics and users... moreYou cant blame the people for their oppinions,and after all fierce competition is good for all of us as a customers.Ok i personally dont trust in Huawei's takes as a SoC manufacturer,but on the other hand am pleasently surprised from Mediatek whose X10 is the best A53 SoC now.And talking about "big dogs" why we cant remember that just 5 years ago no one produced SoCs in the first place?! Its a new and groundbraking industry where you have to proved itself to survived.

Sorry if i wasnt clear enough.With the 3 years i wa... moreYou're in the minority on that one, major critics and users alike have nothing but positive things to say about the 801 and I personally have used multiple devices that sport it with virtually no problems outside of a few hiccups, heck my daily driver is still a 801 powered device and I've been using it for close to two years nonstop every day. Also it's worth mentioning that the Z2 uses a lower clocked 801AB whereas most of the notable flagship phones uses AC (like the Z3) which was the latest one before QC went to the 805's. I'm sorry that you had bad experiences in the past but QC deserves a second change instead of simply writing them off like these corny Chinese SoC fanatics already did by cracking lame overheating jokes, QC deserve it for all they've done for the industry.

Sorry if i wasnt clear enough.With the 3 years i was refering to their old Krait architecture which was groundbreaking at the time,but they do nothing since than.Only difference between krait200/300/400/450 was the clock speed and raising the cashe memory from Krait 200 to Krait 300,they only impruved their GPUs.And excuse me but i cant say that SD801 was a legendary(I've had xperia Z2 that also heated up uncomfortably).The only good thing about Qualcomm is that they were first to offer completelly integrated SoCs when others including Apple had to use external chip for telecommunication modems,but those days are finnished now.Anyway now its QC thats playing catching game : )

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2015It's the rushed switch part which probably had some bad imp... moreI'm not hurt just annoyed by Chinese chipset fans who think their favored cpu is the best shit since sliced bread, there's always something wrong with them whether its bad gpu like in the new K950 or bad overall performance like the X10 or even X20 when compared to the latest and more reputable SoC's from the likes of Sammy/QC, it's like they're always a step or two behind. Sooner or later they'll have to come to terms with reality that no matter what Chinese makers do they'll never be as good as the big dogs.

Their cpus are better when they design it themselves. Your argument may hold weight if the new Kryo based SoC's overheat and throttle as well but it most likely won't because QC is good at designing their own custom cores, they've already proven that with the legendary 801's so there's no reason to doubt them now regardless of the stigma. Manufacturers always have a choice, they could've chosen Krillin or MediaCrap but they didn't and for good reason, tells you something when they decided to choose a faultier cpu over more stable weaker ones like the aforementioned. And how do you know what QC is planning on doing three years in advance lol

The lag starts when they start putting in more features and u need the newest and more powerful iPhone to handle it well and that's basically going the way of Android.
