the iPhone whatever it was 2G, 3G or 3GS without the Jailbreak it won't mean anything... once you Jailbreak it whatever the Processor is 412, 600 or even 1G it will go very slow, heavy and freezy

the point here some people bought the Xperia X2 and it's working fine the reason because they don't install a lot of 3rd party applications and they keep their phones updated to the latest software

do the same and you will not regret it

    Thanks

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2010of course it's faster. it has a 1GHz snapdragon for gods sa... moreSo basically you are saying that all phones of all brands that runs around 600MHz, such as Iphone, some LG, some Nokia, some Sony Ericsson, some Samsung and some HTC has equally fast and responsive OS because they all have similair CPU?

Really? I hope you are kidding?

The phones hardware and OS has to be custom engineered to handle the symbiosis with the CPU, which not all manufactureres can do properly, something that is pretty obvious for everyone to see.

So of course it's HTC who makes the phones fast anf faultless, if it was that easy as sticking in a cpu and run a phone than ever tom, dick and harry would be making super phone with super responsive OS.

So you men that this Xperia X2 is as fast and respansive as the iPhone 3Gs?

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2010of course it's faster. it has a 1GHz snapdragon for gods sa... moreListen dude, there is no use for the power of Snapdragon in normal everyday use.

It's not like it goes 1GHz everytime you listen to song, jeez..

The CPU clocking doesn't even reach 300MHz in normal use.

Does your PC use 3Ghz everytime you visit webpage or is it just for advanced gaming??

it only reaches even 700MHz if you doing heavy multitasking, like playing the music, browsing multiple web pages, office tools open, pushmailing etc at the same time, and really, who actually does that?

The only time it actually come to use is if you play high resolution videos.

Slappyboy, 07 Apr 2010Haha. No SE is not supporting this phone but Microsoft does... moreMicrosoft just produce the Windows Mobile and then sell it to companies that want to buy it or upgrade it to their phones(Like Samsung-SE-HTC)..Microsoft does not upgrade SE phones to new ROM,SE tweak, modify and adjust Windows Mobile builds for their phones. So all the credits are going to SE because it is them who are trying to get customers satisfied.

I'm a Blackberry 9700 user, but i'm not going around saying this and that.

Cause honestly, both Blackberry and Iphone are overrrated fan products.

About Sony Ericsson, i was just stating the facts that this Xperia X2 is superior to the iPhone in everyway when you look at the specsheet.

If you look at the specsheets, the iPhone 3GS specsheet, it actually looks like something other brands released 3 years ago, and to be honest, so does the Blackberry specsheets.

If you have problems with the Xperia, then i guess SE is aware of it and is giving you guys a pretty huge update, and they released pretty fast actually, which they should have kudos for.

Windows Mobile is pretty good, specially when HTC uses it on their phones.

My uncles HTC hd2 is with WM 6.5 is amazing fast and responsive, no glitches, no freezing, every single part of the OS works flawlessly, no problems, just pure speed and reliability.

It depends on who makes the phones i think, i don't think Android runs equally good on all brands, i think HTC is the king on that hill as well.

Well as u might have figured out, i'm switching to HTC after extensive and weeks of testing and comparing with Nokia(dads N97), Iphone(sisters 3GS), SE(in stores), Samsung(cousins i5700 Galaxy), HTC(uncles HD2), and my Blackberry 9700.

Honestly, the HTC hd2 is a class of it's own, even with the WM 6.5 OS which is supposed to be buggy.

I'll be looking at HTC Desire or Legend end of the month.

I think people talk to much about Apple, Nokia, Samsung etc, where HTC actually seems to be only one that has been delivering the "goods" on a regular basis, specially Android platform.

I think HTC deserves more recognition for there work and delivering top class products both in specs, design and physical body quality.

Obviously since there is NO punctuation in your sentence structure, you are wanting your readers to keep reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading and reading.....

When does it stop?! No one knows. Even your last statement does not have a period at the end. Your point would have been MUCH more effective if there were periods here and there to signify that you have completed a statement and you are moving on. I do not understand why you have failed to use such simple punctuation.

They did it with the X2. Now they are showing signs they are about to do it with the X10. Just look how late the Android 2.1 update is. And they've already guaranteed that the X10 won't be getting too many updates since they don't have hardware multi-touch support, which basically means no updates after Google decides that multi-touch is part of the baseline.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2010Really? Does your iphone have 8mp camera? no.. flash? no... moresorry, dear friend: I've got a Xperia2 after having lurrend to xperia1 for a year: I've decided to go for this instead of a iPhone because of all the capabilities you describe (FM, viso, keyboard, etc.) but I'm very, very disappointed!!! :
                              - my xp2 is freezing when I reconnect to a wifi a second time (after a standby time)
                              - it's very slow (ok, I've got 2000+ contacts... so what?)
                              - taking a pict is very slow too
                              - the pĥone soft keyboard in one of the panel is blocked, I can't scroll down the call list
                              - the ergonomy is unconsistent (not the same way for menus/select etc in all the softwares)
                              - various phone menu for calling: make me lost...
                              - etc.

I regret my Nokia N95 (a lot of pb too such as slow camera and menus nightmares, but correct...), or, more, to have gone for a...iphone (I've tested it, a great UI pleasure!: fast and easy!): better "make simple and fast" than "do loads of complex and slow functions..."

I'll check WM6.5.2 and .3, but...I don't expect anything great anymore from WM until WP7.... end of this year.
I guess I'll go this summer for the future iPhone 4 or a Android!

Java support? no... hotsynch and 20+ multiple pushmails? no... WVGA (800x480) screen resolution? no... etc etc

Your iPhone has resolution of 320x480... tell Steve it's year 2010 now, not 2004.

And tell Apple that people actually make "PHONECALLS" on a phone and that the iPhone battery should last longer than a short busstrip into town. And ask Apple why the battery makes the phone hotter than the lightbulb in my kitchen when you talk on it?

Sony Ericsson is not making that great phones anymore, but is sure as hell is better than that overrated ToysRus iPod with call capibilities.

And don't give me that nonsense about "you have to have a iphone", my sister has a iPhone and comes running to me evertime it weirds out on her, i also unlocked it and jailbroke it for her, so i know plenty about that toy.

I have done the MR1 update. The most important things are the video calling and radio. screen rotation has been fully disabled. I enabled it through the registry, but the system crashed! system still often hangs and still suffer from performance issues. Compared with my X1 with 6.5 Rom, X2 is still worse.
