Don't buy the iphone without a data plan cause this phone was made to use internet, and it's very useful! I had the a nokia N82 and a 5800 before buying the 3GS...believe or not but i can't go back to symbian. The only other OS i respect is android it look promising!

Yes it drain the battery faster! But it doesn't cost me more to listen to radio on 3G...i have 1GB data every month, if you have a decent cell plan you won't bother! I pay $60/month + taxes!

We also have wifi Bump. It partially makes up for lack of open Bluetooth, and is faster.

What's more disappointing is, that Apple haven't approved Opera yet.

Whatsapp messenger is a good match for Nokia Messaging though. I'm loving it :)

No one can deny that every "new" feature of this update was already there on symbian phones at 4 or 5 years ago!

This is the situation worldwide, iphoners please stop lying, iphones cannot hope to compare with symbian so forget it and go play with your shiny little toy.

Because all you said was wrong. Symbian does not lag and system crash are extreamly rare. I am currently running the radio, opera mobile with 4 tabs (typing this on one), fring and a game i was playing is paused in the background. Still with all the multitasking there is absolutly no lag. Please, if you want to compare, give some real features the iphone has over my 5800.

Those facts that iphone users claim are from articles from gadget websites and magazines. Should people hate symbian users as well for claiming this and that? Why are you so affected by the iphone's success in the US if you really think that it's nothing compared to symbian's success in the whole world? Why would you even be here reading about iphone 4 if you really think that it does not even come close to symbian. You should just ignore everything about Apple and stick with symbian and android. Since you said that symbian is way more successful than apple, you're just wasting you're time in here reading this article about a very small phonemaker like Apple.

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2010I hate these iphone fans who say things like, iphone is the... moreDon't take it personally. I'm a symbian fan as well, but I don't think 2 reached it's full potential. I loved over the air updates, and Ngage implemented on the N series was awesome. The N95 was a real game changer and while I like my phone now, I do hanker for some of the open source goodness Symbian (and Android) offer.

I may have said that the iphone is a great phone, but is it NOW the greatest? I don't think so. As Android increases its apps, and now that so many phones are using it, Symbian really needs to pull it's finger out.

Blah blah blah your symbian had multi tasking since blah blah n97,5800,x6 and all other crap symbian touch devices have full multitasking, file managers but they aren't any better than iphone 3g or 3gs.Their os is garbage stuff too many lags ,system crashes, so the whole features of the phone becomes useless if you can't enjoy using them. So all symbian users please just shut up ! To be honest i'm impressed by htc phones they are surely the best in the business right now, samsung do have good specs but their ui doesn't impress me much it some how looks cheap and its almost the same as the one on their feature phones. The truth is android is climbing up the ladder so fast and with a little upgrades it will be the most popular os used in smartphones.

till google abandon nexus one.. apple rarely do that...there are people who are still using i phone 2G and still enjoying the full feature of i phone OS ...think abut it u bought iphone2G for 3 years ago and still ur up to date with all new feature..look at the old android phone and the latest one.. all may need some feature ...some may lag some may not , but for all iphone user the experience is all the same..thats the difference... x)'

Android updates are very fast and google are changing the way they update so that they don't have fragmentation. You might be upto date on your iphone 2g but your still lacking in features other phones have had for years. The iphone user experience isnt going to be the same as only the 3gs and third gen ipod are getting multitasking so thats your arguement shot down then isnt it.

I hate these iphone fans who say things like, iphone is the most sold phone, its the most wanted phone, it generates the highest data interchange, etc. Sure these may be true in their country but gamarena is woldwide and thus you should consider woldwide stats. Out in the whole world, no matter what anyone says, symbian is king and 47% of the worlds smartphones are symbian. Thats every other phone! Everyone in your country may have a iphone but wordwide apple os only 14% While steeve is fiddeling around with a few iphoners between his fingers and tricking them around to increese sales, the rest of the world sticks with symbian as is cheaper yet more powerfull, secure and open. In fact only android can compleat with it. Symbian better come up with a symbian3 phone soon as android is not on its trail.
