ArcaBoard is a $20k hoverboard nobody wants

25 December, 2015
It's almost 2016 and we still don't have legit hoverboards. Worst of all, we are now calling these things hoverboards, something that neither hovers nor is a board.

Well, let me make some modifications for you dear!

- give angle for the fans on the edges to create a more balanced board this
/TTTTT\ is more stable than this ITTTTTI (air directions)

- place small fans on the sides to move around

- decrease the cost (I am sure it does not cost this much)

- use fiber glass it is much lighter than wood are other things.

That's gotta be the most expensive (and ridiculous) air fan to cool a room with.

Someone create Ironman suit complete with its thrusters quick.

Stick some strong fans on a platform and develop that in 10 years, outcome is still crap, what have they been doing? Somebody already created something like this only better.

Bomj, 26 Dec 2015I know it works because it was designed on iPad.Speaking of ipad, put an Apple logo on this hoverboard and it will sell like hot cakes. Put the blind test to an extreme level. We'll see how high Apple fanboy loyalty is.

I think is awesome! Stuff like this needs time, imagine this thing after years when tech is going to develop more, and more. I can't wait!

            useless

At least Lexus created a real hover board. Whilst it's not independent and needs a track, it's very awesome:

divis200, 25 Dec 2015Lol, hoverboard for 20k which doesn't move, only rotates in... more...well $100 now is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy out of figure.
Not to say this is worth it's price at all, not even here in BRHUEHUE land of the ripoff it would be justifiable, but: think about keeping a human or (like it's targeted to) some of them on top of it. It really needs too hold on top of itself 150+ Kg of pure load, sum on this it's own weigh on the air. Granted a few cm, but still.
It does need some serious power, and this comes only from some serious hardware Even filming drones are quite expensive because of the beefy batteries, specially light motors and structure.

The point is it's.... lame to just literally stand on something hovering. Quite frankly I can't see it being even fun for the full 6 minutes. Jeez they could trow at least 10% of the lift power to make it move.

The ad itself is more for the guy than the actual product! I bet the $20k price is just so he can break even if at least one person is willing to buy.
