dont make too much choices. just a few phones per year but serious best hardware and software . dont mess up with user's interest. they will trash your brand and step to something else.

The beginning of the end....Even the CEO has to say it. They needed both good hardware and good software, and have none. Wish Nokia made android phones...RiP

Was happy when I got my lumia 950xl but now I've realised its buggy as hell and a half baked product I'm seriously considering jumping ship to samsung

Dear Microsoft,
Your app store is bad!!! No app store, no phone sustainability. You've moved in the right direction with with your recent flagship phone releases. People want to have that freedom to move from phone ecosystem and find all their favourite apps there for them right there! E.g: You walk into any McDonald's anywhere in the world (US, UK, Asia, Aus) and you know what you want without having to look for it too hard for it! That's why Apple and Android are always competitive.
Microsoft, you will always be behind unless you step it up and can do much better!

Don't delay to update any thing like OS, Support, and Apps related Issues Otherwise people will go with another Phone, Like Samsung,HTC etc

This is nothing new or surprising. Microsoft lacks skill while pricing their phones or giving proper hardware to their phones. The hardware they give to their phones is comparable to cheap china phone costing one fourth of their cost. take for example Coolpad note 3 or Lenovo K3 Note. Ok, Windows does not require that much RAM or hardware specs . Then dont price the phones so exorbitantly. An average buyer first looks for hardware , camera and RAM before buying a phone. Like it or not, but it is the way at present. Sooner the company realises this the better or fade out without justifying yourself. Nobody is going to listen. At present the Microsoft approach cannot sustain their meagre market share . So pathetic, inspite of the fact that Microsoft provides excellent camera to their phones. A little hike on RAM and CPU will do the trick for them. Let it be Mediatek X10 if SD cost more.

I gave my wife a lumia 640 to replace her sony ericson phone. But she returned to me because it doesnt have a video call on facebook messenger. Also she said that more easier to use the android no matter what brand it is. But on battery impressive for her. She told me never buy again if not android.

I have been using the MS 950 XL DS for one week now. I am very disappointed with the phone. i even went back to my iPhone 6.
i don't know what is wrong with MS? they don't compare their phones with others!!!
many software silly issues that makes u wanna break the phone, like when u open messages and it says loading..... for more than 30 seconds, change some setting then you restart! Call history disappear.... the notification icon of outlook emails/ missed calls and text messages all use the same icon and u dont if u received a missed call/text message/ on top of the screen. many things bugs u when using the phone...
honestly i don't like the phone and i will go back to iPhone

I am surprised to hear from the CEO after launching its flagship mobile device Lumia 950 and 950XL series very recently. It needs some kinky apps and some cool features (like Force Touch or Curved Edges or Surface Phone prototypes) to attract sizeable population. Microsoft is probably dilly-dallying between Enterprise Market vs Consumer Market with its Office Products and its ecosystem more tailored for Enterprise Market. For Google - Samsung there was no such baggage and they played it to consumers first then later for the enterprise. Microsoft is in a position where it is neither Blackberry nor Apple/Google

Maybe if their latest flagship was certified to work on all carriers that would've helped. I was interested in the Lumia 950. Impressive specs, removable battery and SD card... Stupidly, it wasn't certified for use on Verizon or Sprint even though it had the hardware.

So many things are wrong today at Microsoft...
Comparison:
Lumia 950 with windows 10 & Lumia 640 with windows 8.1:
Despite mighty hardware of 950, 640 is performing much smoother and stable. Even Internet Explorer on 640 performs more stable than Edge on 950.
With this new OS, even my small cloud of used apps, shrinks even more. Now Booking is gone even for 8.1?!?
Big hardware in 950's, but the OS is so laggish and immature.
No future for Microsoft if they do not fix first the OS and then to present WOW designed new phones. Then they will have bigger market share and developers will return to the OS.
Now - almost dead.

The Lumia Mobile Phone is a great line but Windows ultimately fail with their app development and availability. Groove music and Xbox etc are weak in their offerings - Google/Android and Apple have nailed it with their eco systems, this is why Windows phones fall behind. I think when Nokia release their new line of android phones, watch them sell. Blackberry have realised this too, hence the Priv and a slow turnaround in their fortunes - just a shame the Priv is so expensive and elusive

Nadella shouldn't be much surprised, in Q4 lumia's lineup was more than one year old in the flagship segment as 950 and its brother XL arrived too late to the shells. Further more the design language of devices it's still the same Nokia came up wirh in 2010...we can have words on this...
For such a big company mobile marketing is really poor and superficial!

Microsoft need to put existing apps from android and ios into windows store. Here is the problem, apps developer need to lisence these to Microsoft so they get paid. Microsoft need to work a deal with all the apps developer. Apps like FB, IG and Whatsapp are pretty much bundle together since it is own by Facebook. Apps like Youtube(and other Google service apps alike), Twitter, Wechat and such need separate deal. It is hard work.

I'm surprised I've noticed, but Microsoft hasn't that if phone OS ecosystem is rich and alive, then the OS will do well. If it's not, it'll just die. The reason why iOS and Android work so well, they have huge support from users and developers. BadaOS for example had very poor support by Samsung and also developers held it back because they had poor support from Samsung. And eventually it just died even though it looked really promising at first.
Windows Phone OS is in the exact same position. I know there are tons of apps that are just missing on Windows phones. Big players. And Microsoft needs to address that. If big players can't be bothered, why should small players even consider wasting time? And as circle completes, platform just becomes "unsustainable" and dies.
