Windows phone are not successful becuase microsoft does not design mobile to satisfy customers. They want to satisfy themselves.

They would release outdated hardwares and a handful of fanboys would shout that windows os does not need much power. This is the only advantage they know.

people do not buy windows phone even in grey markets.

MS will always have money to burn. Look how many times they re-invent their search engine trying to compete with Google. Years ago they were paying customers to search with them (Live, MSN, now Bing)
How many MS phones have they pooped into the market. Windows Mobile 6.5 when Palm phones were out. They are the little engine that keeps on trying.

Going to be very blunt. Only a fool would buy a Windows Phone today. I thought they would make a comeback with Windows 10 but that launch failed on so many levels. Bland phones, exclusively and high price is no recipe for success. There is no reason that I can think of when buying a WP over Apple or Android.
