ceri, 16 Apr 2010Android would be a savior in the next month. But I still pr... moreI miss the UIQ too. They shouldn't drop this OS.
But there is one thing fishy I started to feel in my guts from couple of months now and those feelings hardly let me down in past.
I think (actually feel) that they are keeping UIQ alive using very limited resources and changing it, improving it to meet the current demands of usage on UI side.
Compare to regular Symbian, I think UIQ was much much better and stable, more likable and very flexible for its time. People cry out for multi-tasking and I still do multi-tasking on my OUTDATED P1 like it is nothing special. I do Opera 9.4 I think while having fun on irc, while still my ebuddy running behind. I am not too much a music guy but on times I put that on too while sketching some concept of logos on its "Note" app or just simply using Note to write down my stuffs while going back and forth with sms.
It never seems a big deal until now as I read all this "no need of multi tasking" type of things and Windows Phone 7 having no multi-task, and other OS showing how good their multi-task is.
They should bring UIQ back and I hope they are making it good under the deep covers just to bang everyone.

Dayum good SE. This news comes as soon i'm about to sell my W995 (Nobody has bought it yet though surprisingly) and Buy a N96 16GB.
Now i can buy a 16GB M2 instead and keep the SE. A Part of me Loves the W995 and i don't want to sell it.
SE is the best. Best phones i've had. W850 has been with me for 4 years and no problems at all. Used it to the limit still works.
I will buy a W960i soon though

awesome, great to see that SE is finally back on the map. All their products have been pretty disappointing for a while (X10 was only mediocre compared to the nexus one and the desire)...hopefully they'll be able to catch up to HTC's top of the line products soon. I hate it when only one brand is dominating the market...reduces the number of choices I have when deciding to buy a new phone. That being said, hopefully SE will create a killer phone to go toe to toe with HTC's next line of products in the coming generations =).

Guys pls undertand there is something very important here. All the experts and analyzers were expecting for SE to keep losing but at least loss less. So if last year the loss was around 300m they were expecting that the loss this year will be around 100m so it really makes total sense. Because when your hurt badly you need to recover slowly correct? What SE did is a great achievement! Seriously I mean it.
the jump from a total loss that almost reached 300m to a profit of 21m is something huge! I really respect SE, and they make me believe in them more and more.
SE is not a weak company and I mentioned this before, that a brand like SE will never accept to lose easily! For god sakes it's SE's pride. They are not like other weak companies that live and die depending on the circumstances. This is the emerge of the most stylish brand SONY + Ericsson ( one of the leading companies in networks and communications)
SE= make.believe
others= follow

"It is clear that Motorola is in the midst of a transitional phase as it recreates itself as a smart-phone maker. The first quarter of sales for the Droid was fairly successful but the rest of the company’s offerings dragged down results."....Is this true?....
