I must say, i am pretty impressed with LG's consistent attempt at innovating thing. Be it the back buttons, the secondary display on V10 or this attempt now. Thumbs up LG. You may not be number one revenue wise but you are the best in innovation. We do love you!!

      Cudos for innovation.
You need a smaller powerful handset choice too LG.

I really wish LG would do a high end 'smaller' phone with a great screen to body ratio like the LG G2. Instead they are making their phablets even taller with a second screen.

1nterceptor, 14 Jan 2016I'm not really excited about this removable-battery-obsessi... moreI am very interested by this removable battery feature as it means i can choose to not worry about finding an electric outlet during a trip in the countryside. I would also double the life of my smartphone by replacing the battery after 2 years and a half when all the battery cells are dead and the battery life is seriously declining. Otherwise a new battery would cost me 200 euros in any specialized store...

And i actually prefer the black leather backplate to any all metal body.

Anonymous, 13 Jan 2016The Droid Turbo 2 and Moto X Force do not have shatterproof... moreI read the shatterproof glass consists of two layers, one above, one below the screen. Maybe it can be adapted to other screen technologies ?

Don't POLED screens have a better contrast ? I don't know about the luminosity though, maybe that's what you mean.

Anyway QHD resolution is definitely bad for the battery life.

I'm not really excited about this removable-battery-obsession. I would rather take a non removable battery with better capacity. Who actually has a spare battery, cmon! Give us metal build, sd820, 3-4gb of ram, 32-64gb of rom, 5.3-5.5" qhd screen with minimal bezzels, 16+Mp f1.7 main camera + 8Mp f1.9 front camera with full manual controls, IR blaster, strong bottom firing speaker, 4000mAh li-poly battery and improved software. Now with features in mind for the G5 you got yourself a complete success and record sales...

Thought about getting the G4, but it was ugly and under-powered compared to other flagships. This G5 modular design looks nice. I hope they use the same sound codec as the V10 and the SD820 brings back the glory days for Qualcomm. Samsung made their biggest mistake ever getting rid of the removable battery in the S6 and the sales backed that up. LG could be onto a winner this year.

AnonD-265082, 13 Jan 2016This is going to break and make the phone flimsy. LG should... moreAnd one wonders why they're struggling financially. I can totally see the flimsy removable bottom piece warping or breaking easily.

AnonD-488240, 13 Jan 2016No thanks. I just want the same design as G4 with: + more ... moreThe Droid Turbo 2 and Moto X Force do not have shatterproof glass keeping the screens from cracking, but it's more so the POLED screen. The IPS screen is better than that, IMO. So i hope they do not go with POLED on the G5.

No thanks. I just want the same design as G4 with:
+ more choices for leather colors backplates and
                                        + a bigger removable battery
+ preferably a qualcomm 820 (and of course an unlocked bootloader) so i have the possibility of installing cyanogen or another software if i want to.

                                        - I would prefer a 5.2 full hd resolution amoled screen instead of 5.5/5.3 ips qhd. But if LG is the only company left that gives me what i want, i will forgive them for that.
                                        - i dislike the buttons on the side, i very often press these. Put them on the backplate or why not on the top, just not on the side. A big thank you in advance.
                                        - why not put at the bottom three sensitive buttons/lights like the zuk z1 to avoid software/virtual buttons that occupy some screen real estate ?
                                        - i'd like a shatterproof glass like on the motorola x force / droid 2.
