I can see the future. People losing or breaking the bottom then try to ducttape it.

                  Awesome innovations. Kudos to LG.

Other smartphone companies choose to compromise.
                  LG choose to innovate.

                  See the difference?

I gotta a feeling that this year will be LG's year :D thinking out of the box , some might say a gimmick others will say it's not innovation, well the second display on v10 was very useful and all oem's will copy lg's Manual video mode just like they copied the double knock and the back volume buttons, proud of lg regardless the annual profits :)

at least for me,it's important because it makes the smartphone more repairable, thus you have to pay less if it breaks apart.

AnonD-265082, 13 Jan 2016This is going to break and make the phone flimsy. LG should... moreA removable battery basically completely solves all battery issues. You're never out of battery (got a spare?) , you never need to wait for the phone to charge (a spare was charging while the phone was used), you never worry of the battery dying in you.

I don't know if my position is biased, but a lot of people around me use removable batteries. In the era of smartphones replacing your computer and phone for most of the thing is important to have the battery issue solved.

I *certainly* hope that what I see around me is more indicative than your percentage, because your percentage implies that quite many of the smartphone users are mentally challenged (especially those complaining about low battery after having bought a phone with sealed battery).

This is the same way Samsung competes with Apple.

And it won't make the phone flimsy. This is the same design as Nokia's N8, and my Nokia N8 is indestructible.

I believe it will be well constructed with a sealed design. Then you can just pop off the bottom and remove/replace the battery and snap the bottom piece into place.. it's really innovative and it's awesome that they're going out of their way to do something like that.. That way if you're battery ever malfunctions you can just pop in a new one. Beats having to go through customer service...
