Anonymous, 13 Jan 2016Why do people care about fingerprint scanners so much? I'm ... moreYeah no worries, I find them useful as a balance between ample security and quick accessibility.

By that I mean, I know they are not the be all and end all in mobile security, but they are good enough, and are far easier and quicker than typing in a truly secure password every time.

I now consider them one of my key factors in a mobile device, but appreciate that is not going to be the case for everybody.

This could be awesome. The S7 could have some competition for my next smartphone buy

If the lg g5 gets a great design (not necessarily metal body).
And the SD 820 and a better battery life with fingerprint scanner its going to be one of the best devices of 2016 and i am going to exchange my lg g4 for it.
Just wishing for a better UI.

LG is the real innovator after all, thinking of possible ways on how to preserve the removable battery feature. Unlike others who simply dumped it like a dumb without even thinking of any ideas on how to make a premium look without removing such a helpful feature. And the saddest part they call themselves the leader in innovation. SMH

Keeping it removable then, Smart move.

Quite looking forward to seeing what the G5 ends up being.

All the G4 was missing (for me personally) was a fingerprint scanner, so if the G5 has one, plus a Snapdragon 820, similar screen to body size, and even better camera, I think I definitely will be picking one up.

I obvio would like to have a thin phone but not something super slim in return of battery capacity and small bezels.. I would never like to have a phone of 6mm thickness and huge chins.. My question is: who really needs razor-thin phones ? I would prefer a bezel-less phone that is like 9mm thick, instead of a huge-bezel, thin phone like the iPhone 6 Plus. Let Apple have the thin phones, the rest of people need large capacity batteries. Do I really care if my phone is 7 mm or 9mm thin ? Not at all. But do I care if my phone has a 2500 mAh or 4000 mAh battery ? Of course I do.

All the fuss for nothing. Not to mention I think it is a fake rumor.
