i really hate Nokia font. the UI is soooo boring, and probably resistive touchscreen will make it hard to navigate. nokia should make an android phone.

serisosly stop complaining, nokia already said that symbian 3 was just part of the transition shile it shifted to symbian 4 and we knew ages ago that it would looks very similar to the current s60v5...

If this is symbian 3 then I'm glad I ditched s60v5 for my n79. Aside from an improved homescreen and slight reorganization, it's the same effing thing.
Now I'm glad Nokia delayed it 3 months.

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2010This phone looks kind a like "Star Trek" device l... moreWatch the movie again nokia had their future concepts in the movie the dashboard intragration was cool and i guess they were planning that from the start since it was on their list of DOs and looks like symbian wont be it but MeeGo instead

i dont see why nokia sticks to the horrendous symbian platform. its outdated styling would be liveable if symbian operated like it was supposed to, symbian cant run simple tasks with freezing or lagging, yet nokia insists on using it when they have far better os's at their disposal like maemo

* Dimensions: 113.5×59x12.9 mm
* Volume: 86 cc

Sounds pretty good, but nothing really groundbreaking for Q3 2010.
Also, some details in the document – not-yet-confirmed features – like DRM free Ovi Music store, and also WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g (China version WAPI) indicate that this might be the description of Chinese version of Nokia N8, so European version probably be slightly different.
Also of note is that this spec sheet is dated early November, and some hardware details might have and changed since then.

Adding divx and xvid would be nice and and an update to add more codecs like what my n900 has
And it beats me why nokia hasn't partenered up with stantum for their multitouch resesitive screen which in my case more useful and 98%responsive and close to capasitive since they can use the flexable AMOLED screens aswell since their not glass
My n900 is 98%close to capasitive
Iphone users have even said it's more responsive then the iphone they own

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2010wow only 150 haters...see you guys have no idea is the 47%o... moreIt's a common fact that 70% of nokia users mainly s60 users do research before getting a nokia hand set since there is something called choice and the handsets come at different specs and model makes
So trolling on an nokia forum will just make anyone looks stupid since we all know what were talking about

As usual with all phones, you actually have wait til you see it in person and have your own opinion. Pre-manufacture models are usually like only 50% accurate of what a mobile actually will look when in final release of software and body. There is alot of finetuning to be done yet before it hits proper software and official dimensions.
For example it looks pretty fat and thick on the picture but it fact it is registered here in Nokia Scandinavia as only 12.1 mm thin.

You geniuses realize that this is supposed to be a mid-ranged phone, aka, something not high end. If you guys actually PAID ATTENTION, you would have figured out that Symbian^3 is going to be a mid-range platform and eventually, in the next 5 years, a low end platform. MeeGo is Nokia's take on high-end competition, which believe it or not makes a very meager percentage of the smartphone market.
http://www.unwiredview.com/2010/04/26/nokia-n8-full-spec-sheet-leaks/
That sort of spec-sheet for something mid ranged is awesome. This is basically the XpressMusic of coming years and by that logic, Nokia seems to be taking on the competition with fiery. 12MP on a mid-ranged device is amazing. Its these 2 bit blogs (Not GSMARENA) that are messing up the facts.
Get them straight next time you complain about anything. Or the better thing to do is to take your dismay somewhere else and leave the comments section to the fans.
Jesus, do some research people!
