Meh, fingerprint scanner is gimmicky anyway. But the article is right, the Z3C is a fine phone, still way more attractive than many other alternatives on the market right now, even after a year on.

FrankDrebin, 15 Jan 2016Seriously what has changed the iphone since the iphone 4s? ... moreFront facing speaker: please, give credit to HTC, not Sony
Waterproof: Credit goes to Sony, until they modified their own warranty to contradict the advertised usage scenario
Fingerprint reader: show me a system that is as good, secure, and fast as the one on the iPhone 6S. And how well fingerprint is supported on Android apps?
Internal: The A9 is arguably the fastest and most efficient SoC on the market right now. Even with the smaller battery, iPhones' battery life is pretty good. Sony is simply using off-the-shelf Snapdragon or Mediatek chips. No innovation at all.
Support: I can have my iPhone serviced at any Apple store/authorised service providers around the world. Sony Asia refused to even look at my US Z1. If I paid premium price for flagship device, I expect better service than that.

They are not releasing new phones and they are removing important features from their flagships. Then they keep asking for unrealistic high prices, how can Sony expect customers to buy their phones? I have owned and supported Sony phones since the Sony Ericsson era, but for my next phone I'm moving to another brand!

Other than shape, the obligatory resolution increase to a mere HD (for the price) due to screen size increase, and the again obligatory bump in ram and camera res.

Other than that, yes its gotten faster but it should, its 2016 and iphone still doesnt have front facing speakers, increased base storage or at least micro sd support, no water resistance, still the same super low capacity battery, the same huge bezels compared to other phones. The only thing that apple did innovate in, is on the finger print reader, but still, that was 1 year. after that, 3d touch? lol

One less thing for the phone to worry about would impact the benchmark results positively.

Well if for me you can buy phone via online store instead of buying it inside US, beside you can buy the unlock version which you can use any sim cards.

I think it would be interesting to benchmark these versions of the handsets to see what kind of affect fingerprint sensor modules have on the battery life of these phones. The Z5C already gets great battery life (although the Z3C is still king), but it could be that much better.
