i just wanna say this:
if it wasn't true (that apple had a new phone coming out) it wouldn't bother them this much, but think of how apple feels lol
its like just finding out ur pregnant, u tell one person, they tell the whole world, and u loose ur baby. buying the prototype is just buying a problem. apple, however, are wrong for turning that person away, if they wanted the prototype so badly why do that?

David, 27 Apr 2010Can i call the police for all the money Appstore stole from... moreYou don't. You must be under the illusion that justice is for all. It isn't. Get a few billion dollars in your bank account and you'll start having some rights.

DeadSouL, 27 Apr 2010To you people saying that the phone is stolen your just as ... moreNo mate, this the USA, where the validity of the law depends on the size of your bank account, just like pretty much everything else.

Steve Jobs must be one of the greatest assholes in the industry. He is a control freak who treats his employees and everyone in general like garbage. This is just one of his pathetic little vendettas. But as long as some spoiled rich kids get their new toy, hey, who cares!? This is what the world has come to.

To you people saying that the phone is stolen your just as stupid as apple. I know you never happen across something that wasn't yours and piked it up, or download something you didn't pay for. This is ridiculous and for a SWAT team to buss down a journalist door for "stolen" property which isn't "stolen" because APPLE IS IN POSSESSION of said stolen device!!! What is this? Cuba or Israel?

Can i call the police for all the money Appstore stole from my sister by permitting false marketing and selling apps that don't do what they are supposed to and doesn't work?? How do we get money back from that? How do we get back the money that Appstore stole from us?

That goes to show all of you that buy apple products. Look what kind of company you are supporting. Ruthless, and doesn't care about anyone. They got the phone back, why are they busting down people's doors and ripping apart the property?

Anonymous, 27 Apr 2010he TRIED to give it back how can you not understand that?!?!?1He says he called Apple, yeah sure, so why didn't he hand it in to the police so they can find the rightful owner?
To not do so is stealing.
He sold stolen property to Gizmodo.
Gizmodo bought property they knew was stolen AND did so very publicly.

what I want to say, that police in US would never break to your house without very very seriuous reasons, and if they did this - they had very seriuous reasons.

David, 27 Apr 2010Seriously, what planet are you from? I know that you are a ... moreThe correct thing to do is hand it in over the bar or hand it in to the Police.
To sell it is stealing, it's something that didn't belong to the person who sold it so it becomes stolen property.
To buy stolen property is a crime.
The job of the Police is to investigate crimes.
The idiots at Gizmodo blatantly showed off the stolen phone that they had obtained illegally, what are the police supposed to do when a criminal act is committed right in front of them.

Thanks to these dimwits, you guys are gonna have to wait several more months now before the iPhone 4G is available. Why?
Cos Apple will have to scrap the current design and redesign everything thanks to some asswipes who think its funny to play around. Even to the extend of posting it on Youtube.

to be honest, I don't believe that Apple engineer could lose iPhone 4G at the bar or whatever, probably this phone was stolen from him at that bar...
and now under criminal law here it goes.
Police has information that Gizmodo guy has a stolen phone, and therefore acts accordingly.
