You seem to know a lot about information that has not been released.

The N8 is nothing more than a stop gap measure until Symbian^4 comes along, you may as well get a Satio now, that's if you don't mind the usual Symbian bugs and performance issues.

Anonymous, 04 May 2010I've asked so many times here but nobody seemed to be able ... more3G is a bandwith, how that has got anything to with stuff like this is doesn't even make sense.

Nokia was releasing 3G phones since god knows when.

The 3G touchphone massmarket was opened up by phones like LG Viewty and some Samsung models in 2007.

It was the natural progression of things, Nokia started tweaking Symbian Touch for 3G already in 2007. It's not like Apple invented 3G.

Who starts what is not important, don't wanna go into that discussion cause a bandwith is not interesting.

Nokia N8 for example is coming with

    HDMI
    3G Network - HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1700 / 2100 /1900 (5 bands!)
    GPRS - Class 33
    EDGE - Class 33
    3G - HSDPA, 10.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2.0 Mbps
    WLAN - Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, UPnP technology

It means Nokia N8 have developed the next generation fastest data speeds on the planet, while Iphone 4G will still have Class 10, 3G at 7.2 Mbps and only WLan Wi-fi b/g. HDMI is not even supported by Apple OS.

This does still not mean that Nokia is the father of all trends and development, cause it's the natural order och evolution and progression in the mobile business.

When Apple 5th generation in 2011-2012 catches up with this years Nokia N8 five bandwith, next generation ultra dataspeeds and HDMI port i still won't rub your nose in it, i promise.

Cause i believe it's the natural for the industry to develope, whoever might get first to release the phone.

Why do you Apple fans always come and talk about Nokia on forums? Sometimes i think you guys really love Nokia or have infiority complex with your iPhones?

R380 was the first Symbian phone, it had a touchscreen and was made by Ericsson, years before Nokia.

Meanwhile, I know many many S40/s60 so called "smartphone" users who know the last thing about their phone is Symbian and what they can do.

Most of these S40/s60 users mostly use the phones for calls and SMS only.

Meanwhile, my manager, who also used 6120, is now using iphone with tons of apps in her phone.

I still believe a true smartphone should make people's life easier, instead of harder and have the user to figure out everything to get the most out of the phone.

Why the almighty brand DID NOT RELEASE ANY 3G TOUCHSCREEN device BEFORE iphone 3G was available (worldwide)?

Remember you said Nokia copied SE Satio yesterday and wrote the dumbest piece oc commetn i have ever read. Well this is what i answered, and iäm still waitting for you reply on that.

"It's funny how you say Nokia copies Ericsson. Then you go on to mention touchscreen, Symbian and 12mp of the Satio.

First of all nobody has innovation rights to touchscreens in that sense, it's for everybody. Nokia had touchscreen years before Apple, so you mean Apple copied Nokia then?

When you say Nokia copied Satio, and mention Symbain, i was just wondering, you do know Symbian is Nokias OS right? Are you saying Nokia stole Symbian OS from SE?

Just because Satio has 12mp camera doesn' mean Nokia is copying it, it's called evolution and progression, something Apple fans might not be aware of for obvious reasons.

By your reasoning Iphone 4G with it's 5mp camera is copying like 5 different Nokia touchscreen devices already on the market with 5mp cameras?

You can't have it both ways, you either trash Nokia and stick with your reasoning whicg makes Apple a big copycat of Nokia or you admit that it is due to natural specsevolution and progression in the business.

You must probably be the dumbest person i have talked to on GSM arena. You constantly contradict yourself shamelessely with statements makes no sense whatsoever just to for the obsession of winning arguments.

You need to get your head straight, people on these threads are not as gulible as iApples."

                        No.

The influence of Apple FORCED Nokia to adapt.

They were way to slow which is why Nokia has lost almost all of their high-end sales.

Their average handset selling price has been in free fall which is why shareholders are getting p*ssed and why Ollie is facing the sack.
