Sm... moreiPhone OS is UNIX not DOS, the iPad proves it supports higher resolution screens than Symbian can, it's not restricted to VGA (640x480), to make widescreens they had to take pixels away, that's why symbian phones hve 640x360 screens, they even had to come up with a name for it nVGA.
Only the maemo based N900 has high resolution like Android, WinMo and other phones.
10,000 sites with 1,000 Symbian applications that are all the same, still means there are only 1,000 applications.
Android has 50,000 iPhone has 200,000.

iPhone OS is like a DOS (Disk Operating System) where you were given commands to execute other software and applications. What Apple did is make it very fancy so all it has smoothness.
When you jailbreak this thing called iPhone OS, and push in app for multitask, you should know what happen, exactly it is its reality, all the smoothness goes tata.

Secondly, having something out of the box counts, that is why in almost all reviews divx support out of box is a plus and not having it out-of-box is a negative. You guys need to pay or find things you wanted to do, with extra cost. And you are proud to be robbed over and over again.

1,... moreI support imac about having countless apps for Symbian, but they are not organized, they are like all over the place and they are most useful, much more handy and FREE or almost free.
If anyone dare to put all those apps and resources together to one place including their download counts, all other OSes (other than WinMo) will be biting their tails off.

Smartphone is the one which gives you freedom for their use. But iphone doesn't give any freedom instead of that it gives a lots of restriction. Android offers a punch to way we use our mobile. But failed a lots of applications. Symbian gives you smartphones the real smartphones.And the good thing is that we are getting better and better due to this competition.
Also for those who said Symbian smartphones have about 800 apps I want to tell them I installed 440 apps in my Symbian smartphone. And just search on Google for Symbian apps. Iphone users are only dependent on their app store.

Still as you can see Nokia is way in the Lead. Sure, their smart phones are much cheaper than Androids and can be brought for about 1/6 the price of an Iphone. But what does Price of the Phone have to do with it being a Smartphone. Thats a point most Iphone fans fail to get. Its is not the price of the phone that matters, its getting the best for what you paid. Nokia accomplishes this well and the stats prove that it is the right thing to do.
Just look at the N8, less than $500, the reason Nokia can provide valuable smart phones for such low prices is because they make huge huge profits in all phone markets sectors ranging from their 1100 to 5320, to N95 to N97 to N900.
Similarly that is the reason Iphones are way more expensive than they are worth, they only sell the Iphone and should make all their profits out of this one mobile.

It's funny watching all the Nokia sheep whine and cry, all their efforts since 2007 to put down the iPhone have resulted in the biggest failure since the first n-sheep started flaming Ericsson for introducing the first Symbian phone which had a touchscreen btw (R380), the first tri-band phone with Bluetooth (T39), first color triband phone with Bluetooth (T68).
Now here we are again, this time it's the mighty (lol) N8, last year it was the N97, the year before the N96, the N-sheep with their petty little lists of half-baked vapourware are always going on about the next big thing.
Well guess what, ever since June 2007 at the introduction of the iPhone Nokia has been going downhill, next week poor old Olly will have to face Nokia's shareholders and explain how they let things get in such a mess.

In the meantime I'm only looking forward for the andriod os because this is the real future and pls pls pls let me give you this advice since you seem to lack a lot of experience don't you ever ever compare the shi*ty iphone to Andriod. because the iphone and it's store it a huge joke infront of the massive OS andriod.
Which has much more useful apps, that a candle and a farties application loool funny iphone users, they remind me of elementry school hehe :)
