The Symbian I know was the first mobile OS to use apps and currently there are many thousand of apps available. Ovi store is not very big but many many apps can be found many other places.

android is going up and up
but manufactures should make more mid end android phones
most of the android phones are high end
symbian is going down and down but most of the symbian phones are low end and mid end
i think people want to change to android but they can not because the high price of android phones
i think symbian will dead in 2011 or 2012

If you want 'slick looking flash UI' in symbian then wait for symbian^3 device to come.. And currenty symbian has about 20k applications and games..

Symbian is a piece of sht. Developers arent even developing apps for it anymore. Heck, they can barely even reach 1000 apps. Nokia still has that same outdated symbian ui with shtty symbian experience. wtf?! for gods sake we're in 2010 already! While Android, Windows Mobile 7 Series, and iPhone 4 has already gone with slick looking phones with flashy modern slick user interfaces with eye-candy. WHen budget android phones come, that shtty symbian should die!!

Nokia starts going down from now on. The android os is a perfect system and works fine with all phones. The smartphones will not be hanging or sticking from now on. Think about it Android is a GOOGLE system the people behind facebook youtube and so on. It is google man no one can win from them :D.

Becau... morewrong.. why nokia still at the top? coz nokia produce a lot of model.. from low end, mid range, to high end phone.. and it's not just few, there's a lot representing each category. the other reason is, there are still a lot of people that already use nokia for long time, they familiar with it so they choose to stick with it. The other reason is, nokia is highly recognise mobile phone brand because they have been around like forever, so some people trust nokia more than other brand... Well, i'm not saying other brand is bad though.......

Man i hate the all ping BB hype all over the world but once your girlfriend trades her N97 Mini for a cheap curve just for the sake of having a ping things get serious, i'm starting to get scared for the other phone manufactures just think, now ping is all the hype meaning (texting) but once everyone has don that they are gonna want serious 3.2" or 3.5" screens to do some serious mutitasking well that could mean the end.. I'm serious guys i'm a nokia users but the fact that ping got so damn popular makes me think if BB's get more like touchphones it wil become madness period combining the best of both worlds for them i hope i'm wrong but there is no time to sleep if your manufacture name is not BB cause every single day that gets past a nother 1000's around the globe get the (Virus)

Why most of the people use smartphone made by Nokia?
Because smartphones made by Nokia don't give a single problem if you know the proper way to use them.Also Symbian is best for mobiles.
I am using Nokia E63 for last 4 months and it doesn't give me single problem like hanging or switching off etc.Also it supports so many apps and games.For me Nokia is better than rest.

Nokia admitted themselves the N97 was a failure
this is why everyone's really shaky on N8 and S3, Nokias past has given it a bad name,
i'm a huge nokia fan.. or more was a huge fan.. bought 4 gens of symbian but never got a N97.. just a useless phone same thing as a 5800 but double the price and X6 is just a joke
i'm looking forword to Meego and S3/4 but with nokia you can't tell anymore

I myself who previously always buy SE all the time had change to Nokia. But i'm very keen on switching to Android phone^^
Hope nokia will come out with Android phone but definitely it will never happen.
