Anonymous, 31 Jan 2016Not true. Motorola phones have front facing speakers tooMotorola has dual speaker in front like sony z3,z4,z5 and .... but htc dual speakers is far better and different.also it's clear that htc will maintaining speakers sound , quality and loudness in flagships.(if not it's like that Samsung reduces 3g of ram to 1g for GS7). I'm htc old fan and I'm assured that htc perfume has good speakers with high quality headphone.be sure that htc M10 will carries high end speakers........

    Apparently many people are upset...

    Front stereo speakers alternative phones.

From HTC camp: Desire 828, One X9, previous flagships (M, E, Butterfly series) and hopefully any future Butterfly will retain them.

    Lenovo Vibe X3 and K4 Note (A7010 (X3 Lite))

Moto X Style. (Play has only single speaker)

    Sony Xperia Z2 onwards.

I am sure there are more.

If it doesn't have stereo speakers, it's official. HTC is dead.
They were always bragging about their stereo speakers and most loved the M series because of that, at least HTC had the top spot in music among smartphones.
Removing one speaker and not concentrating on music will leave many uninterested.
Only sony will have stereo speakers from now on, nice.

without the front facing stereo speakers I'm going to have to go with the M9 or look at a different device. Huge disappointment as I was looking to upgrade from my m7. I skipped the m9 because of the chip throttling issues but now I either get that or go with some other manufacturer like LG or Sony, or Samsung.

There is always a better alternative ( unless in very very specific situations that 99.99% people don't encounter) to music blasting from your phone's speakers.
I refuse to accept your award , seeing that it better suits you. Keep it , I am dope like that.

It will be a huge disappointment if HTC brings out the new Phone without the Stereo speakers!
It is a unique feature and the best Sound you can expect frome a smartphone!

However, AMOLED problems are GOING TO happen no matter what. I hope you see the difference between the "may" (it is possible to happen but not necessarily will) and the "going to" (it will happen eventually) phrases.

So the point is: AMOLED has a limited lifespan while LCD has virtually unlimited.

Rafe Firmino, 29 Jan 2016I think that stereo speakers is HTC Trojan horse, for geeks... moreFront facing speakers is what kept me with the m series, if the phone does not have them that opens up my options to a lot of other phones. Also I need At least 64 gig internal storage plus a micro sd slot or no deal. I will be very sad if it doesn't

Second, I have yet to see any evidence to suggest this years crop of mobile gpu's are able to adequately support graphics at native qhd resolutions ( by that I mean higher than 30fps and none of this rendering at a lower resolution and then upscaling nonsense).

Third, I agree with your point regarding battery size, persoanally I'll be very disappointed if the M10 hits the market with anything less than 3000mAh, and am hoping for a good deal more.

Lex79, 30 Jan 2016Fair enough, yet regardless, in a screen size of 5.1 inches... moreIt's not thar big of a deal. Especially for the new gpus. Yes 1080p still uses less. But QHD is not that bad last year let alone this year. Complain about htc not increasing battery size while making larger thicker devices and needing to put more effort intimate efficiency. That's going to tax this worse than your QHD resolution
