for sure I'm going to buy the New HTC phone this is the time to upgrade my htc m8 :D

I want front speaker or better yet stereo ones.
If this M10 discards them, I fall back to the midrange One X9.
(Or opt for Lenovo Vibe X3 or Sony Xperia Z series)
This might sound weird but when GSMA do a review for each device (M10 and X9), may I suggest you do a versus article between the two as well.

Price is what is the selling point for htc, if it is 1000 dollar phone, huge specs dont matter...

I can or leave the boom sound. Not many places you would really use it without annoying someone. But I have to say the audio out of the A9 is stellar. HTC did an amazing job with the handset. Feels the most premium in the stores, dam it, it just feels really great period !and is very zippy. Updates have been spot on time and is very clean. The finger sensor I thought I wouldn't use but I use it all the time. Convenient position and faultless. we tossed out old htcs and an old iPhone and fitted the team with the A9s very happy

No front facing stereo speakers = no sale. Guess I have to look at the LG g5 if that's the case.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2016It's not a problem unless you play the same thing over and ... moreIf you develop apps for the phone then yes, it's a big problem cause you leave the screen on for long hours with possibly the same content all over it (debugging, etc.). Or you watch YouTube videos from the same users and their logos just burn into the screen. That's not cool. AMOLED is the same downgrade to the IPS panels as the plasma displays to the normal TV's. I know that it has nice blacks and doesn't need backlight, but you effectively kill your display just by looking at it. Even if you get over the fact that it suffers from burn-ins, you cannot deny the fact, that over time AMOLED degrades, e.g. loses its brightness, yellow-brown spots appear, etc. Ofc it's not a problem if you buy a new phone every 6 months or so...

Hoping this phone impresses! My One M8 has stood tall for 2 years now, although I am about to finally try out something new (a Note 5) because the M8 lacks the Tmo band12 support :(

I think that stereo speakers is HTC Trojan horse, for geeks perhaps it is a clique, butas for majority of consumers concern, the design looks tall and ugly and have low screen to body ratio.
HTC does the right thing to revamp the design to more market friendly rather than for geeks.
Hope they can still produce great audio.
And 12 ultrapixel is champ!

Everything sounds great, except that they removed the front facing speakers, WHY!! This is why I use Sony they are the only ones with everything, not the best on most of them but they are excellent nonetheless.
Sad day for HTC.

I hope it's not AMOLED, it burns in... (Look at all the Samsung phones at a retail shop despite their "ultra-super-mega AMOLED technologies".)
