I used to believe/agree with Murtazin in the past, many times he was spot-on, same as with Nokia-Microsoft deal. The deal killed Nokia as smartphone maker. But now I only read articles on GSMArena, not on Murtazin's site. I like GSMArena's design and review structure much more. Thanks, guys!

Paying $20, in fact it will you give you an awesome brand new battery which lasts *exactly* as much as when you first bought the phone (I've measured it)...

...or you'd buy a PoS sealed phone which is going to degrade after a year of heavy usage, or two years of medium usage. Good luck with your degraded phone in that case.

Anonymous, 29 Jan 2016Newest Samsung AMOLEDs have around 400 nits at 100% manual ... moreWell, S line do not use always the same processor&screen so result cannot be the same, but this time the are multiple sizes so probably will nothing matter?... Also I know about auto brightness(well samsung do not say exactly) but if they did mean auto, then they would need some screen&battery miracles. But you want too much, even now sammy does best battery-l. results, no 16/10/10h but more. So stamina will be great anyway, I just wonder about memory and if they introduce some new tech like sensors...

I will never again buy an OEM battery, not even for the same price.

The OEM batteries have been sitting in a warehouse degrading since the matching phone was in production. I have never once gotten a good one. The knockoffs shipped from China when you place your order are factory fresh. I have had really good luck with manufacturers that promote their own branding rather than imitating OEM branding.

Lithium technology is pretty basic and hasn't changed much in years. You don't need a high tech factory to turn out a good quality battery.

Basically you should never open your sealed phone, if you want it to be as resistant (to falls, etc) as ever.

It's a conundrum that the buyer *always* loses. And all that for aesthetics that most people choose to cover with a case anyway ... what a waste.

Apple will replace a battery for around $80, and most genuine batteries cost around that or more anyway, so again - what's the big deal of having non-replaceable batteries when the OEM will replace it for the same price?

The SGS6 has just over 4 hours of screen on time, on average, so I haven
t the faintest how the SGS7 could possibly have 17 hours of video playback unless its revolutionary new battery technology.
