Sucks for MediaTek fans, this will only deter people who're doubtful of low tier Chinese chipset makers even further.

I'm not surprised that a chip name "Helio" (greek for 'sun') suffer from overheating issues.

Anyone who buys a Mediatek outside of the Android One programs knows they are walking into a dead-end of sucky support and frankenbuild ROMs with the same flawed blobs Mediatek never bothers to publicly release let alone update.

I was trying to be kind to the 6P but the actual statement made in the Anandtech review is that it's sustainable performance is actually worse than the Exynos 7420 and the 801/805 based devices, at least in terms of cpu processes.

It's also worth noting that due to the 2k screen resolution, the 6P will never compete with the likes of the M9, Z5/Z5C, etc in terms of gaming performance.

As the 801 is little more than a higher clocked 800, this means the 6P's implementation of the 810 might not so far ahead of other devices based on it. They do also say however that it is the best they have tested to that point.

As before, most probably phone manufacturers are getting discount from qualcomm or at profits loss to just not use mediatek chipset. Qualcomm company is so evil. They just want make monopoly in chipset industry.

But basically most sd810 phones have those problems even without gaming. The 6p is at least good with most of your tasks exept excessive gaming.
