The Samsung haters here seem to forget the Galaxy Note Edge's display. The beauty with Samsung is that they don't put a 2nd display, its one panel with parts that work independently as well as together when needed.
The ignorant haters will scream copycat, but Samsung did this before the V10 was even a thing. :)

On my S5, aft... moreThat is in fact burn in, or... each AMOLED-pixel has a limited life span... the brighter the pixel lights up, the faster it goes through it's life span, this makes some parts of screens brighter, or dimmer than others. On an Note 3 that i had, you could see the letters from the keyboard as an overlay on everything you did, its because the keyboard letters are dark, and the buttons for the letter is white, that makes the white ones burn through faster and the darker areas has less used pixels so they end up beeing brighter. This is typical for AMOLED and thats why i would never buy a AMOLED phone again, its happened on every AMOLED screen i've had, and just google new s6, s6edge, nexus 6p and so on... even new LG tv:s burn in, its a shit technology just like Plasma was.

Seriously guys is there anything about S7 and Edge that didn't leaked out? wondering what they want to "officially" announce on unveiling day! since in order to hype the upcoming device certain amount of info and leaks comes intentionally from manufacturer(s), I think they doing so a little too much! (just saying.)

I had this "always on display" functionality already five years ago in my Nokia N8. It's awesome, I still use the N8 as a secondary home telephone. It's always on and running well. The battery lasts still six days without charging. A hell-yeah phone!

As I said before many of the current smartphone companies are copying and stealing technologies developed primarily by Nokia. Nokia was always nice to competitors but Nokia should sue them all for big money. These stealers claim that technology developed by someone else is their. Many technologies are also stolen by Apple but I don't know was Nokia doing anything about it.

No idea anyone had a burn in issues. Well, seems more like in older displays though, I bet S7 models will have less of these problems. I had a different type of problem with Samsung´s Galaxy devices (no matter what budget category) - they randomly forget Wi-Fi passwords.
