Less than 2 weeks to launch, still is quite about the LG G5 battery capacity. I guess LG is sticking with their BELOVED 3000mah since G3 which resulted to a very poor battery life. On the other hand Samsung is making a lot of noise about their new flagships's battery life. Worst thing LG is sticking to their beloved 5.5" and no other option for those who wanted a smaller flagship variant with 5" screen. LG CEO wake up and read this comment, not everyone wanted a gigantic phone, why are u so stubborn.?

In the article you say that it is a new feature you haven't seen. But Nokia N8 and Lumias have it. So it isn't unseen, isn't it?

This Always ON "feature" is just a power wasting gimmick. I hope it will be possible to disable/turn it off.

Looks like they will use their OLED TV screen on the G5, which finally rival Samsung's Super AMOLED.

Why LG try to impress us by integrating a 5 years old features in their coming flagship? Nostalgia or Marketing gimmick!

I heard some rumors said this LG G5 will come up with most same specs as G4, camera 16mp at back and 8mp front, RAM 3gb, internal memory only 32gb, battery only 2800 mAh, screen only 5.3" and holy shit only Snapdragon 820 is different? If so it can't compare even to LG V10... Tell me it's not even true ...

Always ON ... Do they give a free docking station with every G5 so you can charge your battery at night and keep the screen and notificaztions ON without risking dead battery in the morning?

                    I would love that :)

Anonymous, 10 Feb 2016Let's just hope that the screen will be oled and not lcdEven if they did this on LCD, at least we get to compare G5's Always ON feature to S7's and S7 edge's Always On Display feature which will definitely be on SAMOLED

what does this mean is that it's like the motorola droid turbo which is always on, just wave your hand and the screen turns on. It's also clear on the GIF what does it mean. What really excites me is that what chipset it will use. We already saw how capable A72 is. Still going to wait for another year to upgrade from my droid turbo. No major bump in the technology. Just upgrade of SOC,a little revision on design, a few inclusion of something gimmicky feauture, removing something important.

To be honest, i would never buy the phone if i can't turn that thing off, no matter what brand or model it is. Not everyone likes this feature..
Oh and if you wanna wake your device without any press of a button or even touch, check Gravity Screen on playstore. Since I've installed it i only press the power button to shutdown or power on my phone.

Wow, is this is? If I need to check my messages or time, I'll simply turn ON my screen myself. Really not a big deal. What is this rubbish that's coming out these days....

May be it just means a bigger battery that dies like once in 3 days or more...coz lg already brought sceen tap unlock feature in market for which the physical button is no longer required(which could mean always on). Day Dreaming(Screensaver) with notification and pulsation is nothing new.
So a combination of tap to unlock feature with some improvement of course and a bigger yet sleeker battery(cause its a flagship) which doesn't die soon.

SVK, 10 Feb 2016Like Nokia had Glance screen ages ago? Now Lumia has it too!Lumia has and had it too and they (Nokia) also have it on most feature phones.
