In my country at 300 USD you can get only a poor quality mt6572 or snapdragon 615 phone,or an old lg g2 or iPhone 5.Nice xiaomi !!!

Labour/production is cheap in China and Xiaomi mostly copies features from others. As you can see here that the design is blatantly copied from galaxy and the UI/features probably from ios. I also doubt if the Chinese do a stringent testing on the products like the Japnese/koreans do. Also, currently the brand value of Xiaomi is low as compared to already established players, so they'll have to sell at low price. (same for other Chinese companies: vivo, oppo, one+, Huawei and alikes).
It'll be, nonetheless, a nice device and it'll surely hurt the sales of other companies.
Earlier the Koreans ate up Japnese and German electronic market share and it will be Chinese eating up the Koreans' (but only if they keep up with the quality)

Most disappointing is the FHD Disp... moreFind another phone with such a low price and such high-end components and specs. 2K screens of such low dimensions are unnecessary, they tax the battery and chipset way too much, ultrasonic fingerprint readers are fairly new and expensive (which would've driven the phone price up), wireless charging is kinda unnecessary because there is fast charging (I think those two technologies generate problems for one another), so...
When making a flagship phone for a third of the cost of other flagships, you have to cut some corners.

people still ahveing problems i understanding someting with thos phones.. there is no perfect phone..! and phones are diferent becose there are diferent people.! some people best option is a ihone 6 for some ihone4.. for some a samsung for others a htc.. and so on.. and even thos companys make a lot of diferent phones.. why they don`t all make the perfect phone with everyting inside.. and that`s it. ? if the phone don`t have qhd.. its becose its for the clients that thing there is not needed a qhd on there device and a fhd its just fine and will meeans will be even cheaper..! if you like qhd full stats best options then there are a lot of phones outhere fits for you . but anyway to find somting to cry about it you will find in anyphone.. there is a s7 samsung ? fine you will cry don`t have a usb-c .,, so remember there is no best phone for everyone.. but there are some best phone for some people means my best phone not means its ur best phone and so on... all the phones out there are just awesome.. all companys doing awesome job.. there is no bad phone.! there are only bad clients that want someting but they loook in the rwong place...
