I wonder what you use your phones for
For a price less than half of that of the refined s6 aka s7 you can get a mi5 and many people upgrade each year so what does it matter? Miui is a very good rom so it is all a best deal
Don't say samsung this apple that
You are getting a phone for basically 300 or 400 a high end device for a mod range price.. and xiaomi is an already established brand not new

The price given in the above article is the one without VAT (value added tax), so as per my calculations in India the exact prices can be INR 23000 for 32gb, 26000 for 64gb and 30000 for 128gb varients.

Main thing is design costs, and the cost of cheaper parts. Basically, they're using Apple's model but pricing it low.
It pretty much can't compete with the s7 in a single regard, the s7 has everything you could ever want, and the mi 5 leaves out so much. But thanks to that it's half the price. You also have to remember that global prices may be different to China.

And these r not cheap chinese phones.. they r of premium quality.. I have bought more than a dozen (12) xiaomi phones which are more than 1 1/2 year old but still no repairs.. They work flawlessly
n your (s6, G4, G3, Z3) have lesser specs n features than xiaomi phones and r more than double costly

Mi Note only had the "3d glass" on the back, the S6 Edge had it on the front integrated with the display. Mi Note with 3d glass back was launched when? in january 2015? Samsung S6 Edge was presented in March 2015... Do you seriously think Samsung had the time to prototype and get a production ready display with "3d glass" and associated software in less than 2 months?

Xiaomi really messed with users when they locked the bootloaders. Am pretty sure that mi5 will also have its bootloader locked. Am not going to buy this especially them making users wait for unlocking code for more than 3 weeks at a time. Sorry xiaomi you lost a customer here

I think I will just stick with Samsung Flagship and Apple Iphone.

Their intention is to get the users data into the china mainland... and we will come to know what they will do in the next 10 years......
