I guess its a wise move.
Using the adaptable storage feature on my phone from a week or so. Already feels slow in opening apps and stuff, when using a SDHC class 10 card.
They should give it only on phones with less internal storage/low end devices where this feature makes sense.

Best for business!! What make me sad sometimes, all the mobile production companies, they stick on the same specification each year. What u expect is not what they will release,if u complain this year next year it will become even worsen than previous year.So what they mean?they don't whant to satisfy costomer's need?we hope this year ASUS with produce strong mobile for heavy gamers.

This way gives more freedom of choice.
If you want someone to force your hand and impose methodology on you, feel free to chose an Apple product instead. Enjoy that company dictating their concept of ideology upon you if you're that credulous.
That's not what Google / Android is about. Neither is human nature!

Levy, 25 Feb 2016I think it's prudent for Samsung/LG to take these unprecede... moreWhat? You are very clever aren't you?
You did read what was their excuse right? You do know that they are full of shi.t? No?
Read again. They say they believe in moving files from phone to pc.. Where is the problem if the card is adopted? Nowhere. They just want to bullsh.it people.
2nd an adopted card can be used by another phone, but it has to be formated 1st. Meaning that what they said about us being unable to use it on another phone is another lie. They depend on the masses ignorance, that we don't know what's what, just like government.
Of course they don't have the right to tell us what we can do with our phone, and since android 6 has that feature, it's up to us if we want to use it or not.
They are doing it because they think that we are idi.ots, and don't know how an adopted card works.

They make a lot of money on the internal storage, increasing slightly the storage while the precises are increased considerably.
Obviously they don't want this feature. What I don't like is that they lie bluntly...
Google should force them to comply and all have this feature, otherwise it should not be an official Android device and have no Play Store.

Bad and silly.
A much better solution would have your smartphone giving you a notification before you do Adoptable Storage and tell the user that he may use his date, hence backup your SD card data 1st and then format and encrypt it. Just like any other notification from your phone. But this is definitely not a solution to that they canceled this feature at all, especially when 64 GB version won't be available widely

Actually Android 6.0 offers a choice: you can either adopt your SD card as a part of your iternal storage or use it the old way as external storage. So LG and Samsung have just removed the former option.
