Hi everyone. I read news from pc advisor website. It said that agree with a Japan website Z series won't die. Z6 will come later with snapdragon 820, adreno 530, 4GB ram, 23mp rear, 5mp front camera, 5.2 inch size. Hope this information is true.

Maybe they will have a next generation of Z series, the next generation must be better than Z series as usual common sense.

The iPhone is doing a killing in this market, and there's good reason for that. Do you recall reading an headline "the whole iPhone series is discontinued, now you need to buy hiPhones"? Neither do I... Then their support is second to none.
It's the difference between "faux-premium" (aka higher-end "disposable crap") and real premium. Guess which "segment" Sony is working hard to not get out of?

AnonD-434597, 25 Feb 2016Agree 100%True...The market tends to kick manufacturers that do this on the butt and then you see huge price drops and special offers... On this aspect Sony seems to want to bank on name prestige, but right now they are in no position to do this...they should try to up sales volume and pricey items are not the way to go...unless you are Apple...they do have the name/brand prestige that allows them to actually get somebody to buy a $200(cost to make) phone for $600+.

Once you grasp these "very hard and out-of-worldly concepts" you will quickly realize that a discontinued model (ie. no longer the latest thing) instantly loses value in that market.

I can't stand it when people think for instance that the release of the Z3 6 months after the Z2 somehow makes their Z2 invalid and wasted. Boohoo, so it's not the flagship anymore, big freakin' deal. In a way it almost --improves--the Z5 as it has now gained infamy.. ;)

... moreI'm with you man! If Sony now discontinue the Compact-range, I will be in 'trouble' and become phone-less. Hehe.. Guess I could live it though - but I would become a bit miserably!
I will go for Z5 Compact or Z5. The X line doesnt talk to be. Not the pictures anyways...

I'll hold onto my Z1C for as long as possible and if there isn't anything new by the time it gives up, I'll maybe get a Z5C or even Z3C to replace it.. guess I can hold out a couple more years and see if --anyone-- can resurrect the ghosts of the compacts.. heh
