28 February, 2016
Both phones target Asia as their primary market, but should have limited availability in the West too.

How to think to make a poll between a cheap but fake premium Chinese device with a Japanese premium device? MI and all other Xiaomi devices are cheap because they are devices without soul. Ps. I am a fanatic Samsung user. Mi definitely looks better but... NO

first things first, because the hardware in these two phones are similar their peformances should be more or less the same, but the sony X perfomance is like the old Z series an all arounder smart phone with strong camera,ip68 and a high price while Xiaomi offers a lower megapixel camera (16 mp) which is still really nice and a powerful processing package and beautiful body ( i think it is more beautiful than the X performance) and an incredible price tag;I think Xiaomi has made an incredible Top dog .

Why is the hell X Performance is so thick - 8.7 mm ??? Z5 with even bigger battery is just 7.3 mm. Why FM radio has been removed from X Performance? Just compare yourself: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7949&idPhone2=7534
Z5 is more advanced device. Even screen to body ratio better on Z5. At least on pictures X Performance looks like 3 generations back outdated device which should hasn't been neither launched nor developed in first place.

Obviously mi5 unless Sony reduce its price to half:p

Haw much brand blind do you have to be to vote for this phone? Five year old design, huge bezels and ugly as hell. But I guess that these are the Indians voting as the country has this notion that if something is more expensive then it must be better. It isn't!

Mi 5 no doubt best, high value for money
sony is too much expensive and offer nothing compared to flagships of samsung,lg.

I hate the UI on both phones, that said, Sony's one is the more bearable. MIUI is just terrible. For hardware, if price is not a factor - definitely Sony. Nobody comes even close to Mi5 when value for money is considered.

Obviously xiaomi especially considering that it will sell at half the price of Sony in my country.

King of bezels, once again it's a Sony. Like a box with a tiny screen inside. I can't see anyone buying a phone looking so ... boxy. It's where Sony always seemed to struggle.
