Anonymous, 27 Feb 2016so basically people who can't afford new device will be lef... moreDon't blame Whatsapp. Blame the BB platform and Windows. It is too old to run the latest apps available. Need some upgrade. Don't forget you can always flash custom rom for old android device. Go buy a new phone folks! You might need it by 2017. Or just stop using Whatsapp if you don't feel like it.

AnonD-70078, 28 Feb 2016To be honest what's app is a bit kiddy. BBM is much more... moreNo it isn't.

BBM doesn't even support full end-to-end encryption. When they got called out on it by the EFF, BlackBerry tried to change the subject, and Crackberry idiots trashed the EFF as a group out to get BlackBerry, as if the EFF even cared.

BBM is horrible. Ask El Chapo what messenger service he was using, what phone he was using (hint: it shares a model number with a BMW car), and how well it worked out for him.

Heywhatsapp, 27 Feb 2016Why the hell whatsapp is cracking down upon older os people... moreNot sure if you heard about it but Apple was sued because they were causing older iPhones to be slowed down with newer software updates INTENTIONALLY.
They are not shutting down or removing support from older devices but they are making them useless so you can spend hundreds of dollars in a newer device.
They are way worst than Whatsapp. At least they are been honest by telling the user "Go get a better cellphone so you can keep using us"

I will totally understand this if it was from a small developer but Whatsapp is a 20 billion dollar company which should have enough money to support all of these platforms and add much more features like color customization and real PC support (not web support when your phone is awake).
