I'm using MI phones from last 3 years and I personally feel earlier phones were good, but nowadays XIAOMI has taken their customers for granted and their services becoming poorer day by day. They're not customer-centric anymore in terms of after sale services. I had a horrible experience when I been to repair my Redmi 2 phone which was became dead after 2 months since I bought it. Forget about repairing, their executives doesn't even bother to talk to you in gentle manner.

Didnt they say this last year? Or even the year before? But still their sales were nothing but dissapointment. Also, for a copycat who doesn't need to spend much on R&D, selling the phone at this price is basically overpriced.

14 millions pre-ordered for 32 & 64GB WHITE. A bunch of other 14 millions are watching & waiting for other colors & Mi5 Pro. Other countries, please wait till your hair turns white. It's a miracle if you ever see Mi5 Pro ever come out of China. They have already got Mi4s only for China. Everything is for China, and other countries like Malay, India, and others are the core markets.....for unsold units ?

When can I buy this phone? do you have international shipping? How long does it take to ship overseas? can we order via expedited shipping such as DHL or Fedex?

                              Thanks

14 mil is like less than 1% of china's population, what's so hard to believe?

Sadly, the world is bigger than United States.

What's not to love of Mi5? Cheap and High end specs,

Heating issues? Anyone stupid enough to buy a last gen SD810 phone knowing it'll overheat can't complain.

PS: I don't live in China/planning to buy this phone

this phone will take few months to arrive in India until they sold enough stock to meet their target in china

Anonymous, 29 Feb 2016No it can't, if Xaiomi don't enter the other major markets,... moreYeah, because being the 3rd largest smartphone manufacturer in the world (after Samsung and Apple in that order), clearly shows that they are sooo far behind right????

They hit the home run with the Mi5. Appreciation and applause should be given when it has been deserved. Well done Xiaomi, you win this round...

IP6s Costs about $230 and S6 used to cost about $290 so likely S7 is $300+ in manufacturing cost.

I had bought Redmi 1s for my dad and he hated it.
My friend first got Redmi 1s, then upgraded to Redmi Note, Then to MI3, then ti MI4 all within a year because he was not satisfied with each of them. Then he finally got S5 and he loves it. Even though both have similar specs.

My experience with all local brands have been punishing. Specially Xiaomi, Huawei, Micromax.

Also Xiaomi does exagerate so than more poeple wonder why it sells so much and why shouldn't I get one.
                                      Almost all of them heatup.
Anandtech reported that MI5 also heatsup (not very much) while Playing 3D content like games or 3D bbenchmarks :P
