In my opinion, neither of the two phones, it's no better or worse than the other. Together, the two phones are extraordinary. Both are excellent products in terms of quality (design, electronic components, etc.)
I thought that "fans" of the two companies, Sony, Xiaomi, are educated, civilized, etc. not as fans of Apple or Samsung.
From unfortunately, after i saw here, I WAS DISAPPOINTED, of many of these "fans".

Given the below configurations, I fail to understand how a quad core 820 is 2x times faster than 810. Guys, please enlighten us.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (with 2 cores clocked at 2.15 GHz + 2 cores at 1.59 GHz)
Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (with 4 cores clocked at 2.00 GHz + 4 cores at 1.55 GHz)

As for the poll... come on now GSMArena. Did you really have to post an over-exposed photo of the Xperia X Performance? It looks way more stylish from what I've seen on Youtube and hands on articles.

samsung have many trolls, because they sale the more phones they got more incentive. So what they trolling is always nothingness to Sony. the mi just the another one, as well as we know they got the professional job for trolling, as a Sony fans could not like them, I know what Iam purchase, I would not believe those trolls .

So Mi5 is better. Metal chassis makes the phones sturdier than metal back. To make a metal back is far easier. Especially plain flat one like on XP. I think i can make something like that, i only need scisssor ruler and drill.
while to make metal chasis is more difficult bcz the power button,volume button, mic hole, speaker, antenna line are there, they also need tiny holes for screws.
Design wise, Mi5 wins, specs.. Mi5 wins. Absolute win for Mi5.

i'd pick the mi5 too, if only it was official offered here and not thru 3rd party importers.
the xperia x is a different story though. it'll be expensive, no doubt, and it doesn't even come with waterproofing.
even their very own xperia m5 beats it.

I hav used mi4 for 11 months and i can say with confidence that i will buy mi5........
The only thng mi4 lacked was the OIS and even that is added in d mi5.....
And i hav no doubts about mi5's display, they hav used 16 leds for backlit in the place of regular 12 giving very high full brightness and contrast ratio was never an issue with a xiaomi flagship, mi4c had it above 1600 which is higher than lg g4 and iphone 6s plus......
As long as they are giving ful brightness of around 700 nits and contrast ratio of above 1500-1600, i dnt need amoled's saturated displays......
And all tge people who are talking about quad hd displays should know that super amoled displays have pentile matrix nowadays in all der smartphones which means only 2 subpixels per pixel compared to ips lcd's 3 subpixel per pixel....
Super amoled in s6/s7/note4/5 uses rg/bg matrix and ips lcd uses rgb matrix
So when it comes down to sharpness, ips lcd is more den adequate with a 1080p resolution on 5"-5.5" displays where amoled requires quadhd to acheive same level of sharpness on that display size.....

People i've personally known hated their Sony phones and all never bought another Sony phone again. Even one of my friend who hated Korean phones and love Sony, went to get an iPhone instead and never once own a Sony phone. Maybe they have better phones now but once you ruin the experience someone has and yet the person paid so much for the phone, it takes a long time to get their trust back.
