Niraj, 04 Jun 2010I have said one Droid in every 18 month because less device... morei do not agree, if android OS can be as customise as Windows OS on notebooks, there may not need for per model support, instead, a cross chipset support, say, 4 inch model runs on same chipset as 2.8 inch one....

I believe Nokia should make a Windows Phone, even this mean they have more OSes on their hands! They are after all a hardware maker with software support, M$ is just a Software maker with hardware engineers but no hardware.

It's nothing new. Qt apps run on top of anything from Linux phones and desktops to Symbian or Windows desktops and phones. This has been known from the start. Google earth uses Qt, Virtualbox uses Qt, VLC player uses Qt etc.

There is no way nokia is making a windows phone. Its just not possible. Meego is a direct competitor to windows mobile.

I think there might be a misinterpretation of the powerpoint slide. Nokia previously mentioned that apps developed in QT are able to be run on many OSes and Windows is one of them they mentioned. From the video I watched this would be my interpretation.

In this video they mention cross platform development. And if they were to make a phone running another OS, I would imagine they'd use android

It's a slide about software development. It has nothing to do with hardware. "Windows" in that instance refers to the Windows desktop OS, which hosts Nokia's Ovi Suite.

Nokia is even unable to handel symbian properly, how can they manage with WinMo 7, while simultaneously working with Intel? Symbian is dying, pulling the leg of Nokia, and draging it to hell. Nokia just let symbian die in peace. Work with Intel or if you can choose Android for your future. Or fail, go to hell and watch how Android, Bada, WinMo wins.

Dont see how GSMarena interpreted it as mobile platforms, when it only say platforms.
So even if Nokia would start making Windows Phones, this picture is all about QT and OVI... the platform level is even depicted in grey, while QT and OVI are colourfull to catch your eye.
