Another friend too having G2 is frustrated due to lag. My sales head owns Samsung S6 edge and cries daily about lag and freezing. So across spectrum of processors, target user, vanilla vs manufacturer specific loader, it lags.

The only th... moreEven though I hate using any desktop-Linux's, I still prefer the Android UI over the tiles of Windows Mobile and compared to the few Lumias that my mom and dad both have, I find the needed settings and stuff faster on Android. :) I guess it's just what you're familiar with, I never liked the over-simplified UI of 7.5 and newer mobile-Windows OS's.

I am sure that somebody in Microsoft is taking money from Google to make such stupid moves. Cutting the cloud, phones more expensive than the android equal, leaving the best GPS app in the grave. Ate they making this with a reason?

Very differently.
They are, at their hearts, polar opposites in terms of design and efficiency.
Windows tries to make a whole range of hardware bits get along and aims to run software that won't crash.
The alternative is efficiency and productivity...on the whole

I had a Lumia 1520. I downloaded Here maps and used it totally for 3 hours to go to the next city and to come back from. The phone was getting very hot while I was using the Here maps so I was turning it off when it was getting very hot. Finally we arrived home. The next day phone kept restarting. I restored factory settings, installed other win8 or win 8.1 roms, whatever I tried, didn't stop restarting. And the next day the phone never turned on. Service center told me the main board needed to be replaced for a fee which cost more than the price of a new phone. I told them ' Are you kidding" I can go and get 2 second hand phones with that money... Anyway the point is; Here Maps destroyed my phone.

Lol! Android IS better in pretty much every aspect. What are you talking about? Hardware wise no one can offer a better variety of phones than Android and all windows have it's just couple outdated Nokia Lumia's, couple Microsoft Lumia's and one flagship wanna be Microsoft 950/950XL. Pretty poor choice. Software wise Windows sucks major balls also, I know, I'm using Lumia 930 and windows store is years behind in apps. It's ridiculously bad!

Main problem with Windows Phone are applications. Developers are not interested in application development for OS which holds 1% to 2.8% of the market. I just hope Viber and Whatsapp won't drop support because if that happens then WP is truly dead.
