Here apps will stop working on Windows 10 in June, WP8 apps will get no more updates

15 March, 2016
Here's some bad news if you're using any of the Here apps on Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone 8, or Windows 8. Basically Here will stop developing all of those. What's worse though is that the Windows 10 Mobile apps will actually stop working on June 30.

AnonD-515292, 16 Mar 2016I had a windows phone man, I am good in technology, Windows... moreTrue, I'm sure all iOS apps can be installed on Android and all Android apps can be installed on iOS. Damn, it's just that Windows doesn't have such. I'm also very sure that you can do all that geeky stuff that you mentioned with you iPhone day in and day out, it's just that you can't do that with Windows, damn.

Take a break buddy, go somewhere outside, have fresh air. It's not worth sweating it out over on comments section of a mobile phone review website... Like all things in the world, each platform and each manufacturer have their strength and improvement areas. Not all users want all the strengths and possibilities and certainly not at the price points (that are exorbitant for iPhones and many Android flagships). So relax... choose what best you can get for the buck you have, then use it, have a wishlist and sit and wait till someday somebody releases something better to up your ownership to tick some more bullets in your wishlist for the buck you have then, and then again, sit and wait till someday........

Its really funny reading a blog from a blogger who have no idea how windows phone/mobile works, and then go on to read the comments left by people who have the same state. The new windows maps use same app data as here, and will continue to do so. They already created a w10m oriented UI for the maps app, retiring old w8.1 apps is just logical. There are considerable new upgrades coming to maps in the next insider build. Besides, contrary to what a lot of fools believe here, there are a lot of alternatives to here apps on windows mobile. They can use the common OFFLINE here data on your MEMORY CARD accross all apps, a thing which the majority of androids and none of apples can do. Just go to windows central, they have a huge article on atleast 5 outstanding apps and several minor alternatives.

Microsoft cheated Nokia, and now Nokia's time. What brilliant you are Nokia, day by day Windows support is going down from other companies. Nokia buried Microsoft indirectly.

All these comments just because of a navigation application that no one is using is leaving because it can't compete with Ms Map or gMap in Windows store.

I can still remember when my first WP, which was a WP7 could not send USSD. That gave me a lesson not to trust WP for their lacked in cellular industry knowledge.

why do you say windows is a disaster? when it handles things very similar to IOS...... IOS and windows phone handle things pretty much the same way.
