AnonD-516914, 21 Mar 2016 So is this Samsung screwing the United States Market with ... morebattery loss of 30% every 6-12 months !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOTALLY WRONG

I have been using an S4 for 3 years and its running on an old os (4.3) with tons on apps in it (nearly 10 pages of apps) and it still running well , maybe its 30% lower than its best state, imagine if would upgrade the OS and wipe the memory of the phone, it may return nearly as new with 10% lower than its best state, because formatting a phone really helps reviving battery endurance

ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING THAT EVERYBODY WON'T NOTICE : that the S4 has removable battery and it doesn't have water and dust resistance which would kill the battery faster with the various environmental and climate changes, unlike the S7.. THAT'S WHY U R TOTALLY WRONG

regarding what you said about camera, it is not perfect , cuz this is a phone not a camera, but it is the best low-light camera in a mobile right now, the 12mp may sound low and a letdown , but believe the REAL LETDOWN IS THE 4:3 ASPECT RATIO , I had abandoned the 13mp resolution cuz of the 4:3 and used the 9.6mp , the 4:3 pictures looks horrible in the gallery with two black bars aside , it gets even worse if you want to view it on TV or anywhere..

    Countries that get Sd820 are:
    US, China, and Japan.
    Reason:
To lock bootloader for more security and better marketing for Samsuny Pay in those critical world regions.
You can buy Sd820 or Exynos8890 variants, 32GB or 64GB unlocked directly from Samsung site.

AnonD-442781, 21 Mar 2016The camera is far better, and you obviously don't understan... moreNot in my eyes on the cameras. The resolution 16MP it's better than the 12MP even with the little low light thing that doesn't work much in day. Besides that they should have gone to 20MP like the rest of the high-end camera phones.

And yes batteries do deteriorate that way for those that use their phones a lot. For those that don't use our phones much yes you're right you can stick them in a drawer in the battery will last a long time. If you're a power user in the use your phone all the time your battery deteriorates quite rapidly from frequent charging. Most people are on their phones quite a bit either talking or browsing, taking pictures or playing games.

And batteries don't deteriorate anywhere near that fast. It takes 3 years before you'd even notice anything, and only becomes an actual problem after another 3 years.

So is this Samsung screwing the United States Market with using the Snapdragon 820 chipset or is it the phone companies using the 820 chipset and wanting the phone right away and not waiting for the availability of the Exynos CPU availability, or did Samsung just decide not to allow the United States to have the higher-quality CPUs for some ungodly reason?

They took away the infrared Blaster, killing infrared remote controls apps and other such apps on the phone

they make the touch screen extremely sensitive,

The Edge curves are hard to read and hard to select text or items,

the phone is very slippery and even a tester dropped one during his testing from a major site, the edge screen also makes it very hard to put on screen protectors that will stay on or that will work long-term with cases well,

the SDcard and the SIM card has to have a special tool to access it that many are likely to lose and that fits into many other holes and could damage the phone,

the speaker is tinny and low quality while it should be upgraded and stereophonic,

the microphones are not equally balanced and the sensitivity is decreased - the top one is much more limited than the bottom for some reason,

they removed the ability to set the sensitivity of the screen, they (Google/Samsung) also removed many other settings and added others in the new OS.

the battery is not removable non replaceable and I think that's the most common vocal complaint from so many, as it loses as any active battery does in the rechargeable world about 30% of its capacity every 6 - 12 months.

All the battery is much better than the S6 Edge Plus in terms of capacity, it's still limited and could be much larger and thus much better.

they downgraded the camera from 16MP to 12MP when they should have upgraded to 20MP common and high end phones today). I don't buy into the low light pixels help the resolution more than 4 megapixels help

the low light camera feature is not impressive,

they still haven't upgraded the USB port to USB 3.0 type C - big mistake,

there is no new real Innovations to this phone, except the marshmallow operating 6.0 by Google

Although very beautiful, the S7 Edge has less pixels per inch PPI then the Edge or S6 Edge Plus, and to top it off they made it much more expensive.

They made it so much more expensive they were able to give you we argue if you were a first adopter or about $100-150 worth of stuff. I much rather have the phone that much of the most important thing is that cheaper. These are the things off the top of my head. I didn't discuss the front camera, the quality of the fingerprint sensor, the quality of the heartbeat sensor, the quality of the headphones that come with it, or the massive bloatware that's on the phone. I also do not discuss that it really needs more memory standard in an auction at the AT&T & other dealers to carry the 64GB version.

I like most the enhancements with marshmallow. However many apps in the Google Store are not 100% compatible. I like the enhancements to Samsung's keyboard. I like the enhancements to the voice recognition and the text to speech corrections.[ especially since Nuance's Swype keyboard and voice dictation system Dragon quality and innovation has RIP ] I like the quad resolution display. Even though I don't like the sdcard/SIM tray implementation, I love the fact that they brought back the SDcard. Now if they can bring back the replaceable battery, and put on high-definition stereo speakers they would be going in the right direction. They also need to make the non-Edge equivalent version(s) with the same high-quality feature set, battery size, and memory etc as the edge and Edge Plus versions each year, and make the Note the equisential Flagship of the entire product line, ensuring that it never has anything less and usually much more than its predecessors. Eg a 20 megapixel camera, 4500 mAh [ replaceable? ] battery, no curved edges, better speakerS, 6GB of RAM and for AT&T to carry the 64GB 128GB versions, and for the infrared blaster to be put back on. One can hope Samsung starts listening right? As for me I suspect I'll be taking back 3 S7 Edge phones back to AT&T. Especially after this article. I hate one another country gets a better version of the product than the United States from any vendor. Thanks Samsung, for all the above good and bad.

PS forgive me for grammar and errors I did this on the S7 as my final test. It rebooted 4 times during writing this review. One time was for updates on the other three time I have no clue but one time the back was hot the other three times that was not. However it the phone did freeze. The voice application seems to take a lot out of the phone. My voice application I mean voice dictation. When I use nuance's voice dictation system it absolutely freezes and stops working in the middle of sentences and that's one reason it RIP, besides being what seems like a decade behind Google voice dictation at least on the mobile version. But I digress.

Ofcourse Exynos has bit better battery management tähän Snapdragon. Exynos uses those 8 cores. It only uses those lower end cores to do those non raw power tasks like making a phonr call. Snapdragon 820 doesn't have those. It relies on 4 cores. IF they werent custom Kryo cores the 820 would lose much worse in battery management.
