This is all very well, but as a normal purchaser (I'm in the UK but the question applies everywhere) how can I get a choice of which processor the S7 edge I buy actually has?

BTW, what is the point of testing text only Web sites? Damn near all Web sites are graphics heavy and advert and like/share button heavy. Is this why I have never ever achieved anything remotely like the battery life that gsmarena lists?

AnonD-516778, 20 Mar 2016always on = always battery drain.Isn't it obvious. That is the whole point of the article. Only 1% per hour. Not bad considering there is only 24 hours a day. You could just assumed your phone battery starts at 76% after fully charged. And of course, you could just turn off the features and enjoy a full battery life. Nothing to complain at all. Your choice.

So if you want battery: Buy Exynos

                            Performance? Again Exynos.

Games? Snapdragon (although the difference is probably small, probably non extant in less demanding games)

XDA? Maybe snapdragon, that is as soon as bootloader will be unlocked. As it seems currently both would be pretty heavily locked down.

Guess it is worrying for other phones with the Snapdragon 820... I wonder how will other important Android flgships like the LG G5 and HTC 10 fared against the 8890's S7.
