That's 31% seconds exactly.
Go back to Antutu that shows ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and be happy with its results. The rest of us prefer REAL WORLD tests, where of course Qualcomm is a joke.
First of all it kills most background apps, I mean whaaaaaat. 30% is actually a low value, in every day life it will probably be 100%, while your Qualcomm PoS chipsets tries to open the document I had open 2 hours ago (reloading it from scratch) I would already be reading it on my Exynos, imagine that happening with every app. So happy to not be an American.... Exynos FTW!

Then of course there is everything else done on a phone where SD820 is VANQUISHED.
Pffft, gsmarena is filled with Qualcomm employess/shareholders... They can't handle the truth.

In terms of performance the it all depends on the power of a single core in that big cluster. It does not matter how many small cores you have running not so important threads. A CPU like Apples Twister with only two (big) cores would be faster then a CPU with a slower big core with many small cores handling the less important threads. Again, it might be more efficient letting the small cores handle them but you still get mer performance from the CPU with faster big cores.

That it is running multiple processes at a time means nothing. If you look at the game tests Anandtech has in his multicore test article
you will se that it is running ONE main thread in the big core cluster (fast cores). The other not so important threads are running on the little core cluster (slow cores).
This if for efficiency. They could easily have been handled by a large core as Anandtech says:
"Again this is a case of using parallelization for the sake of power efficiency instead of performance. The 3 smaller threads on the little cores could have well been handled by a single larger CPU at higher frequency, but it wouldn't have been nearly as power efficient as spreading them onto the smaller cores."

You guys keep bashing the SD but it has much better battery life than the 810, is more powerful and accomplishes this with just 4 cores.

Android is awesome like that . Toy OSes like iOS and Windows can barely use more than 2 cores for most things.
That's why the both use few cores (Ax and SD820 respectively). A mature OS uses all the cores you throw at it, so 8 core SoCs >> 2+2 (weak) SoC

Exynos 8890 is one of the best - if not the best chip set of 2016 ... Your beloved SD 820 is good... but damn sure not the best... Who really cares about single core performance... they're both too close to differentiate... Multi-core is where Exynos pounds Snapdragon into the ground... the gap is large enough to provide a substantial difference...
Even in terms of endurance rating... which is a feature just about every consumer would benifit from... Exynos is a class above Snapdragon... 11 hours in totality... Qualcomm... keep your "goods" for the American market only...

Android never let's one core do all the work. It never happened, it never will happen. You live in a fantasy world and you only care to Diss the mater piece created by Samsung.
Android has many daemon like processes running on the background. Things like sensors, sync adapters, not to talk about its incredible capacity to male use of all cores. Not to mention about the link above showing that most popular apps are actually heavily multithreaded.
It's a myth that single core matters, get over it... and stop using Antutu , they're paid by Apple and Qualcomm to make their bad SoCs look good...

The two small cores are actually only so fast as Exynos' small cores. So SD820 has only 2 good cores. Such a shameful display, ripping up customers like that by fooling them through benchmarks.
Thankfully real world tests like the above show what I always suspected: SD820 is a bigger fail than SD810. Haha, I always laugh at Qualcomm fan boys, so happy with anything you serve them :p

I don't know why you're bickering about which chipset is faster of more efficient or whatever. All this benchmark craze, all this competition, means nothing. Current chipsets are way more powerful than what is really needed. I don't know about you, but I won't buy a $800 phone if I get the same experience with a phone which costs half the price.
