Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the competition is Snapdragon 820. People cheer, and called his name really "ABSOLUTELY THE KING"

Reiki, 26 Mar 2016I'm actually surprised that's what's great nowadays. Well, ... moreI very much doubt that Xperia T lasts 7 hours with screen on.
The only reason that you phone lasted 2 days is because you use it like a grandma. If you use S7 like a grandma you're going to get a week of battery.
So -yeah- battery life has gone way up lately.

Anonymous, 26 Mar 2016Only a non developer would say its a myth. If you are a dev... moreAnd that doesn't matter because Android NEVER runs one process at a time. I'm a software tester so I actually know more things about developing than what most developers do...

Try, in vain (for an additional fee, of course) to be taken into account and the processor Exynos. It cannot compare, from any point of view, with 820 Snapdragon, this is an absolute champion.

Clear winner, says the reality is Snapdragon 820.

Well... there you see how much you can optimize your own chip, rather than a chip you don't know at 100%.
I guess the result would be different when comparing an SD820 from another phone with Exynos.
In any case, now you now exynos variant runs slightly better than SD variant on Samsung S7.

AnonD-518649, 25 Mar 2016i have the exynos version, and the battery is Great. 7 hour... moreI'm actually surprised that's what's great nowadays. Well, I've been happily using my old Xperia T which lasts 2 days and a few hours until I got a Moto G 2nd gen from my gf... and then it got stolen, so I came back to my old phone.
If 1 day is great with the new phones then I think they should work more on new battery technologies rather than bigger cameras on phones that already have an excellent photo quality. i would say rather than higher speed chips since the ones there are now are already pretty fast but... with higher requirement games and the recent VR it seems we'll need even more performance... which at the end will require much more energy and thus a new battery technology.

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2016Most apps need multithread: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9... moreOnly a non developer would say its a myth. If you are a developer you know single threaded performance is still very much important because far from every problem your application needs to solve is possible to break down into sub problems to solve in parallell. You will always gain from high single threaded performance, that is not true for high multithreaded performance.

Adreno 530 use more memory that the exynos.
512 vs 256 aprox.
So... Less momory for the system in the exynos

4 GB in Exynos and 4 GB in S820
but.....
Adreno need more memory or at less, Sansung set the diferences in that point.
~3.7 in exynos and 3.5 in S820... thats for the system the rest for the gpu

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2016The adreno is indeed a lot better in benchmarks than the Ma... moreI just think that it is quite unfair to judge Qualcomm by s7 only. SD820 is not owned by a phone manufacturer, not like exynos. Exynos is jus like Apple AX chip, the phone manufacturer (Samsung and Apple) can make the chip what they want, and can optimize them well. I will judge Qualcomm by the majority of phones using SD820. it will tell that SD820 is worse than exynos or there are some manufacturers that is unable to optimize SD820

It might be slower. But 95% of the consumer does not use the phone that way. Look the iphone6 and earlier iphone has only 1 GB of ram that was a real pain but look at their sales. I agree that iphone 6s is improve a lot. But s7 edge is much better espacially for the price. We US customer got SD version it might be slower but do not forget that we get the phone at the lowest price in the world. We get BOGO + netflix + gear vr + $30 gift card. So no any complain for me.

My exynos Tablets gets official CM12.1 support: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=lt03wifi
And unofficial CM13 supoort: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-10-2014/orig-development/lt03wifi-cm13-0-unofficial-builds-t3332894
You Qualcomm fans should stop lying for once. Also enjoy your locked bootloader. Chances are the Exynos variant will get kickass roms long before the Snapdragon variant this time around. And god would I laugh: better performance, better battery, better support. Only silly people would remain faithful to firedragon ...

this is stupid.... how come that exynos along with ram can swith apps and sd820 cant with same amount being more powerfull ...this is poor optimization with the software...... samsung should be embarassed ..uisng 4g 4 times the ram than an old 2013 moto g wich keeps everything running fine even with sd400 ... i have G2 sd800 and i have not to reload anything ... dont blame such a powerfull processor with bugs than manuafcture worried to fix for their own soc than competition under same case .......

We already know exynos is slightly better than snapdragon where it counts. Does it make a difference? Perhaps but only minimally so.

Well, that was expected as always: The SD is better on extreme performance which isn't always needed, only for benchmarking, which isn't everything, far from that. Else, on termes of heat, speed, battery consumption & multi tasking, Exynos always wins.

Exynos version is a beast but it still reloads one game. This Phone smokes every other phones out of water(pun intended).Lets see about Xiaomi mi5 version with ~180000 on antutu and HTC 10 and LG G4 and oneplus 3.But by the time these phones reach the market,Samsung would've sold millions of Galaxy s7/s7 edge and in a position where the other manufactures eating up their share of flagship wouldn't be a problem for them. Its a win win for Samsung anyway. They have no real competitor at this point of time

Lead2XL, 25 Mar 2016Almost nobody cares about slight speed differences at this ... moreIt's not slight by the end of it, it's 30% slower, that's very visible. If you multitasking don't buy Snapdragon. Also Gamers should not care about the slower solution because there only gpu matters. You're exactly wrong about your remark.
Gamers should buy the SoC with the faster gpu, the rest should care about tests like this (and not Antutu who is the devildevil and a misinformation machine filled with lies).
