Htc has to learn from other brand stereo speaker phones in speaker design and placement especiaally from lenovo eqtal sized speakers with symmetrical placement. With minimum bezels best soundiing on a phone now. Htc m7 amd m8 had the best sound in their time. The problen was the design and placement . M7 had equal size speaker grils but placement was not symmetrical. M8 had smalj speaker gril on the top and large grille on the bottom it spoiled the beauty of their phones and had larger bezels.

But wait, allegedly HTC 10 will have stereo speakers afterall. A previous teaser suggests so, showing two different sets of speakers grill. Let's just wait until official reveal.

some people will... moreThank you for your feedback in comparison with prior versions. I still can't get past that they dropped the stereo speakers. For those times when I watch Netflix or Youtube in landscape I think I'd rather have two good speakers that balance the sound rather than one great speaker that puts all sound on one side of the screen.
They're trying to counteract the loss of the stereo speakers by talking up the quality of their mono speaker, but I'd rather have decent stereo than fantastic mono.

this HTC10 is really an exciting phone.
some people will always attack HTC just for trolling purposes.
The M9 was a disappointment for me at least. but this new phone has everything
12MG ultrapixel camera with OIS (which was not available in previous phones "i mean M8 and M9")
greatest sound whether u use the phone speakers or the earphones it has always been the best among all phones.
great display
enough storage (32 GB) with the option to expend it.
great build and looks
extremely smooth UI (Sense)
if those rumors turn to be true this phone will be the masterpiece of phones
anyone talking these features down is just a troll.
seriously i can't believe the number of trolls trying to make the boomsound feature look like a bad thing to have ... some people enjoy it ... others use headphone (which sound better using HTC phone).

Same flat sound with only small differences, it simply doesn't matter to me. I always prefer external amp + speakers or at least headphones. Rarely use phone's own speakers and those will never be good enough for serious music listening in my opinion.

After owning a HTC One M8, I was disappointed with the mono sound of my Galaxy S Edge. You don't miss Boomsound until you don't have it :(

All I care is front BoomSound stereo speakers. It's by far the best thing on a HTC device. Not mono, not back,down, left, right facing speaker(s). We have a pair of ear not one. And it should be facing towards us not away. And just have the fingerprint scanner on the back = perfect
