New HTC 10 video teaser says we should expect "the best BoomSound yet"

hardly anyone listens to audio through phone speakers, and most listening is through headphones, so why no dedicate PCB space and chassis space to an improved headphone DAC and amp.

This feature is useful for annoying fellow passengers on public transport.
I'm pretty sure most people couldn't tell the difference between 'boom sound' speakers and regular ones with just a ring tone.
In order to justify this emphasis on 'boom sound' you'd have to be listening to a lot of music by yourself in a small, quiet room.
So basically this feature is for adolescent hermit teens or those traveling to school!
Common HTC - try focusing on the practical. This is about as useful as a 20mp front facing selfie camera.

I'm gonna cry if this is earphone only. It looks like they removed the external speakers, so the chances are...oh well.
I'm still buying it I guess.

BoomSound was a substantial reason some of us purchased the One M8, and many have expressed their disappointment in the obvious lack of two front facing speakers in the images of the HTC 10. Given how good the sound was in the One M8, I am curious to know how a phone with no clear front facing speakers will deliver the "best BoomSound yet."

boomsound is an overrated feature in a phone.
I'd rather prefer waterproofing over it.

Hopefully HTC isn't going "all out" to address a speakerphone feature enhancement when there are a lot of other more important areas to focus on.
