I was thinking the same the other day when I was surprised to see and actual post from a person. To be fair I did make the mistake of liking too many of the Clickbait sites and now my timeline looks like a meme database. I also noticed that I wasn't even posting my pictures there... facebook had become my photo album but then I realized...I want to keep all the pictures I take and not only the ones I want to share so I'm mostly using Google photos auto upload on my phone. It keeps all of my images, it has unlimited storage and when I want to share something I just share the specific thing.
The funny thing also is that Im a 40 year old dude...And for the life of me I can't figure out Snapchat...so yes... it is the next thing.. my 15 year old niece is crazy about it.

All these big businesses are they same, so desperate to keep up growth that they lose what made them popular. It's nothing more than greed.
Facebook lost it for me when it started curating my news feed. I want to see everything my friends post in the order in which they post it. For me it was just about being in touch with my friends, I didn't use it to follow celebrities or brands.

I'm sick of funny pics of dogs, cats or those stupid selfie photos. Yes, we know you ate but we don't wanna know!
People are so obsessed with strangers approval and likes.
Whenever someone tells me we'll chat on fb i say i don't have any and they look at me like i dont breath air or something.

It's true in the Philippines. Majority of what I see include shared posts, news articles, clickbaits and photos. Status posts are quite rare IMHO.

Facebook is only good for keeping in touch with old acquaintances, people who live abroad and so on. It's obviously on the decline for at least 2-3 years now. Personally I wont miss it if it vanishes.

Well...Facebook became more and more invasive than before. And a lot of people just want some privacy. Me personally, I pop in just to message some people (worldwide communication), I rarely scroll down more than 5 posts. I can't be bothered what people eat, where are they every minute of the day, or what a "fantastic bright idea" they came up with. I think there was a wave (a trend if you will) for that, but it's gone. Now it's just..."meh...alright".

Absolutely agree.
Recently Facebook sucks and I have started used it more and more rarely because I am annoyed by the overwhelming amount of "sponsored" posts etc.

Facebook's so called patented news feed technology is just a big BS!
You keep on scrolling down and you'll notice the same feed goes back and randomly with other or older feed injects itself.
How on hell it was called news feed if you can't even search a content from it?
