How it possible?It has many reasons.
1. The screen resolution is 4x bigger in the Samsung.
2. The iOS is optimized especially for the iPhones hardware. It is much more optimized than Android, which can run in nearly any phone (it even has an x86 version). This is the main reason. But all in all i think android is much better, iOS has many limitation and if apple make a setting unavailable, then you will never change it easily. Eg. please setup a ringtone from your music list ;) of course you can't do that on an iPhone :D
3. What is true for the OS is also true for the applications. They has to run on all phone, therefore the optimization is much harder. But I think this 10 second extra is quite a good result :)

Touchwiz slows android features + multi-tasking down and not really app loading. Look at the Nexus, which running pure android, can't beat iphones in these kind of tests.

There is nothin... moreyeah ur right pal its like this comments section is flooded with brats who can't wait to play my dads car is better than ur dads speed boat. purpose separates the two devices hence the choices in operating systems? we know already that android is superior in some functions like multitasking and bla bla, and ios is efficient and is well tuned to its hardware platform hence the smooth touch response of it. grow up people and learn to separate the two and understand that apple and android are made to target different people who will make use of the two for similar and very different functions hance they are purposely made to be different from one another. if one is tired of a fiddly phone go apple and if u dont like the straight line approach and fiddle free device go android and get the custom roms and relish on the flexibility offered by the open source os and the near infinite hardware options available. chears fellas ;)

why speed test ?may be quarter second difference for every new model. compare the phone multi tasking options and features .

If the S7 Edge would have won this battle, then all Android fans would've just thrown their shirts off, went out and celebrated like football fans ('soccer' for Murricans) and bragged about it.
Truth is, Android can never be fast when compared to iOS or Windows. It just can't. It is built differently and developers didn't focus on performance, stability and quality, as instead they focused on letting apps interact with each other and also adding as many data collecting processes as possible while keeping the phone usable. Thus, the extra hardware requirements. Bottom line is that Android will need twice the specs of any iPhone or Windows phone in order to deliver between 70 and 90 percent of their performance levels.
It's a bit funny that the slowest, most unsecure, most intrusive OS out there, with the least developed user interface and the most dated design language - is actually popular.
This is just like people who would have to choose between (considering they all cost the same) an inefficient gasoline engine or a new electric engine which comes with immense power and incredible autonomy AND people will still go for the petrol one.
But oh wait... they currently do that, don't they? Mind. Boggling.

Sorry its not, A9 is most powerful chip in the market, and lets not forget, 6 months and new IPhone coming, i cant even think how powerful that going to be when A9 is already best.

Root it or tweak it or put custom ROM, then the result will be different.
I will never buy Samsung phone because of this Touchwiz.

Typhoon, 08 Apr 2016Android users be like we need more Ramz/Corez yo!! lol..What for? S7 in particular, has more pixels to push, so hence, the result. I'd rather have superb battery life than those things. Ain't none of those are able to come alive when its battery is dead quickly unless you charge it again let alone comparing speed.
