HTC 10 Lifestyle is the flagship for some unlucky regions

12 April, 2016
Snapdragon 652 instead of 820, 3GB of RAM and Cat. 6LTE. Same cameras, at least.

I need to know about dual sim as well. India is the 2nd biggest consumer of dual sim phones and even Samsung brought it by their latest Note and S series.

Anonymous , 12 Apr 2016I was really confused between HTC M10 and Samsung Galaxy S7... moreBang on.

And so other companies as well, like Xiaomi didnt launch pro Mi 5, Huawei didnt launch any new flagship products in India in last 2 years..people are still waiting got mate, honor and P series of last year.

AnonD-399271, 12 Apr 2016Iam from India and I like this. Not everyone wants top end ... moreI thought we are discussing about flagship phones. They are giving some substandard version in India on the name of flagship.

Why to force rather than we choose amond 652 or 820.

On another note, nobody is talking about lack of dual sim version here in India?

MIR, 12 Apr 2016They did not. They did the right thing. Indian market is b... moreOh, Really!!
Get your facts right my dear, Apple, Samsung, and Sony all are fighting to get most of this market so far through their high end flagship devices because even if they will sell it to 1% of the population it will translate into 12.5 million devices.

However why don't you do some search about few facts like "most expensive house in the world???"

        Knock knock... wake up.

          Dump htc.

If you ever wonder. The people who want to buy flagship phones are the ones who do have the financial resources to purchase one. If a company like htc wants to bring in a low spec phone for the Indian market, then they have got the whole thing wrong. Htc is already in the RED this will drag them further into the RED. The loyal customers would move out to other better brands.

It is not just the SoC. People here are worried about RAM too. Advanced games do not run smoothly in 3 GB, after some 6 months are so, as the flagship standard is now 4 GB. Also it is a QHD screen.

[deleted post]Indian government let's the people decide what they want. They refrain from poking noise in each and every matter of people. And don't forget that India is confirmed. Your country may well be in line for HTC lifestyle. Our maybe they may decide not to sell in your poor country at all.

It's not India that's unlucky. It's the brand. They will soon know the repercussions of this decision. HTC was already dying and this could week be the last nail in its coffin. Sony is the best. They always prioritize Indian market. There flagships land here first and updates too. Sony forever.

They won't sell a single piece in India due to this partial behavior. It does not really suit a dying company to behave in such a manner.

hrishievo, 13 Apr 2016Just because many people want cheap phones doesn't mean the... moreExynos version performs way better than SD. only issue is for custom roms.. but that's fine..
Exynos is not CHEAP processor and RAM etc remains same..

[deleted post]Just because many people want cheap phones doesn't mean there are few people buying expensive phones. India is a huge market and even if the percentage of people buying flagships is say 1%, that would still be high in terms of sheer numbers.
"Samsung did not bring the S820 version"
-but the Exynos chipset is no less of a performer compared to SD 820!

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2016SD808 handled QHD very well. is see no reason why SD652 wo... more... Thus it doesn't handle very well at all. Common is all I want. QHD or better at my wall and FHD in my pocket. Again i prefer fps in games and video over a ridiculous power-wasting resolution especially when the cpu is less.

Adreno 510 > adreno ... moreif I compare the Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro (one of the highest ranked adreno 510 devices) or the samsung Galaxy a9 (imilar results) with the lg G4 (adreno 418), the LG wins every benchmark i could find.

HTC is going loss & reduced revenue due to poor management . Indians wish them to continue the same since they are doing stepmother treatment for many regions .

India is lucky enough to have many brands with high end specs and descent pricing....One brand can't decide our fate...if HTC is underestimating Indian market we will surely decide its fate in coming future.....!

Really feeling sorry for international companies in India, what a terrible market to have to do business in but the shear number of people make it a market you can't ignore, either. The foreign executives they station there must get crazy high hardship bonuses on top of their salaries.

Nobody will complain about downgrading the chipset after release unless they price them right........Rs.30k-35k you name it......more than that sorry htc its not the place .....and I saw many of them quoting nobody is going to use sd820 completely sd652 is far enough for most ....I do agree .....but the point here is they pay the price for high end hardware....not for the midrange one......
