[deleted post]Is not the Iphone claimed to be the slimmest smartphone on the market? But wait, to make calls you need to put a case?, doesn't that give it the same thickness of like a Galaxy S?? Ifans are crazy to think that all phones have this call dropping issue, this is a complete lie by Apple, I dare anyone to show me a you tube video of a Nokia phone going form full bars to Offline when held in a particular way..
Also about dropping the phone, those drops are not related to each other and are separate...
What it means is that if dropped, there is a 2/4 chance that the Iphone will turn off, and 1/4 chance that the glass will shatter completely..
Try dropping a N900 or 5800 on to concrete from head height(not hip height), I am sure they will remain ON save for a few scratches... My old Nokia fell 3 floors down a lift shaft, once I pop the battery back in, it remind functioning perfectly..
My Nokia 5800 video calling works smoothly with any other 3G phone and is not limited to another 5800. It can work over 3.5G and not Wifi either plus its definitely out of the box....
In fact, I can even take Skype video calls over 3.5G or Wifi with my 5800, can you do that.
You are boasting about not wanting a computer to load apps?? What about music and videos, cannot say the same about that can you.. Pathetic, you need to use one computer and that crappy Itunes to load even a simple music file onto you Iphone...
You think we comment here because we are jalousie about you crappy Iphone?? Ha Ha, I would rather have a S40 device than an Iphone... To understand the reason we comment here, read a Nokia Article or the N8 opinions forum.. See all the Ifans there boasting about their iPhone and insulting everybody...
...This is payback!

i admire Nokia most than this pathetic Apple company..
Nokia has the decency to admit the are wrong in making the N97 but apple..they jaz blamed the customers holding the phone in the wrong way and blaming their precious iOS that giving false signal strength..
A great Company should think what they can do to ease customers lives not the other way around..

IOSIF , 03 Jul 2010Apparently APPLE is not preparing an upgrade for their phon... moreThe only proper and possible cure is, to redesign the set, well shove the antena inside the casing. Investment will be huge to manufacture all the units to replace. Frames and casings will be reinvented (in Apple's language) and massive recall for massive exchange. Add production time and investment in entire process and you will get yourself an iPhone 4GS, (with Signal) as a friend said earlier here.
I don't think Apple is going to run for exchange units, unless they will find a coating solution to cover the antena without using any material.

in the following Months
1. 1.7 million Iphone Users(mostly Americans) will miss important calls due to iphone antenna Flaw, showing full bar signal indicators even w/o true carriers receptions, delayed messages and drop calls
2. 1.7 Million iphone users will have fingers problem coz they are too mindful how the will hold iphone 4 in the right way.
3.1.7 million iphone4 will looked like pe*ises wrap in a thin sheet of rubber coz it might lose some signal when hold accidentally in a wrong way(not very aesthetic to look at)

Apparently APPLE is not preparing an upgrade for their phone, which is faulty anyway, but one for our common sense which refuses to accept the poor excuses they are spelling out for this glitch.
Shame on you as you should have the dignity to respect the millions affected by the IPHONE4HYPE and deposited USD1000+ for your golden potato.

damn its right, people, apple shi**ting on your heads again, job doesnt care a bit about you, users. what he think is how to sell same thing, what other companies invented and used on their devices ages ago :) video call, copy paste and other features is been used by other companies, before even first iphone was released :D probably what he think about this signal error is "damn we failed with antenna, who cares?, people are so stupid what we gonna tell some nonsense story and everybody will be happy" :) open your eyes mates stop buying overpriced crap from apple :)

Are you iPhone4 users really that gullible?
I am a grown ass man, & I will not have anyone dictate how I have to hold my device to gain full telephony usability.
This is the absolute first time since the mobile phone's inception, that requires users to hold it in special fashion to avoid calls from being dropped. Even the Motorola StarTac, that used RF antennas in its infancy, still manged to do what a mobile is meant to do....make & take calls, & despite the fact that it is 15 years older than the iPhone4. The egg on Jobs' face is truly a welcome sight, after that geezer bragged up & down on how "revolutionary" his aerial antenna design truly is. I guess if you count rendering a mobile phone entirely useless as "revolutionary", then he succeeded...& then some...LMAO
Those cheezy, over-priced pieces of silicone are arguably the most hilarious "fix" I have ever witnessed. If you really believe that a 2mm thick piece of rubber will actually prevent your device that is comprised of glass from breaking into 20 pieces....then you deserve every amount of ridicule & humiliation you get.
Stop being such as pushover. I went to the AT&T store yesterday to actually try the iPhone4, as I am eligible for a $199.00 upgrade, & all I can say after actually holding the device & witnessing the bars drop like the stock market crash of 1929, I will happily buy this iPhone4, & sell it to anyone of you myopic, Apple apologists for a $500.00+ profit.
As an American, I am ashamed to have Steve Jobs, & Apple Inc. a part of the American economic system.
Take your Billions of dollars..Mr Jobs, & try to buy some dignity.

All right, because many of you mindl-ess i-Sheeps doesn't go on other places so I will bring some updates to your doorsteps, afterall you like easy things.
If this is not a problem then why there are Jobs (not Steve Jobs) opening at Apple specially for Antenna engineers?
Apple said it is "missed calculation" so how great their in-house developers are that they miss-calculate something this important? Seems they were already faking the signals and get caught because of Antenna issue.
And if you are one who still trying to learn to hold iPhone the right way, there are confirmed reports with the ^powerful^ camera too, with its white balance "calculations".
Not to mention the glass is not as good as original Gorilla Glass, more like a monkey glass for monkeys.
People are also complaining their messengers are logging out when they "multitask". H-ell it is not even multitask, Apple is just giving bad image to all good technologies to claim their outdated discoveries are the best.
