The best size is 5" to 5.3" but i love my note5 so i can say its depend on your uses. If only u talk msg and social media only then 5" is best but if u want to play games and watch movie youtube etc then 5.5 to 5.7" is good.

I wonder why there are no phones like sharp aquos, if there was also bezel-less bottom, it would be bigger screen with a smaller body. Who wouldn't want that...

its a Phone, not a media player
      139 x 68 mm, 5" 1080p is perfect

Eske Rahn, 24 Apr 2016It is strictly the WRONG question that is asked.... What m... moreIs there a 5" and up phone that is under 67mm? No. So just vote for the

Max 5" and max 1080p,720p preferred. Why? To save battery power. And of course at least 3000mah battery.

Z3 compact for me 4.7in is the max I'd go fits in my pocket. any larger and I'd need to wear cargo pants or a phone case on my belt to carry it. He'll I'd go smaller down to sub 4.5in

Bigger is better in my opinion. I had the HTC One Max and that's a 5.9" screen and was really fantastic for movies, games etc.

It is strictly the WRONG question that is asked....
What matters is the WITDTH of the phone, or more precisely, if it is possible to reach across to the far side with the thumb, keeping a secure grip with the same hand.
So the BEZELS also matters. If tiny bezels, a larger screen is usable. But the phone should stay under something like 65-67mm to be one hand operable by most people. And YES it is FINE that they make the 70mm+ phablet for people with huge hands, or for those that prefer two hand usage anyway.
Phone sized devices with top specs are none-existent currently - and has been for the last about five years.... You cn get a phone sized device with mediocre specs, or a huge one with top specs....

I think it' s not only the screen size but also the phone's thickness and bezel should be taken into account. I would feel more comfortable if the phone has slimmer (but tolerable) profile and bigger screen rather than the opposite. But to choose based solely on the screen size, i'd say any 5" to 5.7" is perfect.

In my opinion, I think the word is - "Smartphone" ! Not large phones or showoff phone !

The S7 has the perfect size and weight in my view, its thin too.

About 5" is of course the ideal one hand op size. Perhaps browsing in such screen can be made elegant by invoking a sensor to follow user iris and scroll ahead laterally or vertically through app automatically

Its never about screen size. Its all about how tiny your bezels are to accomodate the large screen. The LG G series are prime examples of this technique. They have large screens but minimal side and top bezels. This gives a beautiful effect akin to holding a screen and not a bulky bezelridden monstrosity. That gives you a smaller phone with a larger display. Sony and Apple are the the worst at this job. Their phones have massive bezel. The front of the phone should have the largest possible screen between 5 and 5.5 inches. Reducing the bezels is the challenge.

5.2inch is the best, I think, Nexus 5x has done it right.

                                  The bigger the better.
Screen size around 5.5 inches will do better.

my opinion is not the screen size it should be mobile width and height. best size is width should be between 50mm to 65mm and height between 100 to 130mm and thickness 6 to 12mm. That means screen may be min 4 inch and max 4.7 inch. Because name mobile phone itself tells it should be mobile and handling should be one handed. Foldable screen is the answer for future so that mobile phone can have 5 to 6 inch screen when needed. Samsung will be the first to bring them....
