Its not that, he wants his want to be VR convertable and I am assuimg the difference between FHD & QHD is noticable there.

VR,the next big op in electronics,along with wearables.
It has its uses in some industries,it's use at home is going to be nearly zero,in three years time it will be treated with the same contempt as 3D televisions.
Sounds like a good idea,but the tech we have today is just not powerful enough yet to A) make it realistic and B) no content..

I won't be using VR on the phone, simply because it's not as good as Vive or Rift (and phone with goggles will cost pretty much the same). So I prefer dedicated VR headset. Anyway...a bit of a shame that he bends towards public opinion, but from a business point of view, I can understand that. I just wish phone manufacturers would stop rat race for the highest benchmark numbers and focus on something, that we all want - better batteries.
