Sony, why would anyone pay top dollar for an almost 6 months old chipset when they can get them from any competing brands now?
Sony, why would anyone pay top dollar for a FHD screen when they can get QHD for cheaper by the time you release this phone?
Sony, why would anyone pay top dollar for PLASTIC when they can get Glass or Metal RIGHT now?
Sony, why would anyone pay top dollar for an almost pure Nexus experience when they can get them for cheaper from Google now (with lousier specs) or later (with similar specs)?
Sony, why would anyone in the right mind pre-order and wait for 2 months when they can get so many other brands with similar or better hardware now? You'll be competing with ICraps and Google Nexus by the time this comes to market.
Sony, are you looking to only sell this phone to your 'die-hards" and nobody else?
Sony, why are you so out of touch?
I thought HTC were already pretty late to the party but, i think you, Sony, totally missed the bus, train, plane, rocket by a million miles worse than them.

I agree that there should be 4gb or ram but phone with FHD+3gbRAM will preform better than QHD+4gbRAM...so it's not gonna make a difference in usage from other phones. but still I don't like 3gigs either...
You do realize that majority of Sony users like me don't want QHD in their phone ? we want FHD for 5 inches,it's that simple ! If there is need for higher resolution there is excellent Z5P that is UHD ;) and Sony display panel isn't any cheaper than for example one in the Samsung S7 , in fact it's even more expensive !
there are things that I don't like in Xperia but it's not any of those things that you people who don't use Xperia are complaining...

Tho Samsung is trying their best on giving us a premium phone. And they should be complimented on that. But the reason why I don't do Samsung and stick on sony and apple because of the premium feeling & premium experience that I am getting (not to mention the internals, tho not the best butabove the average).
Samsung flagships are premium but since they are also saturating the market with low-end phones, then for me, it is not like somewhat a premium feeling. I like the idea of sony and apple on selling mid to flagships, and also not swarming the market with phones.

I love Sony Z5 Premium, and their phones are beautifully designed, I just don't understand their politics and marketing, why cry about low selling numbers if you don't put the phones on various markets, I had to order my from Korea since Premium was not available in USA, if there will be another model improved in feature I would most likely buy it too, but make the phone easier accessible, or stop bitching

AnonD-529878, 04 May 2016You do realize Samsung and Iphones and LGs aren't any cheap... morethe problem is for the specs you get they cost too much.. vivo phones are ultra expensive and you get way more for their flagship than this, and lots of samsung and lg phones comes with a TON of deals just due to their popularity also via carriers etc,
most sony phones will make you bleed and they are not made properly, too many times other oems use their sensors and beat sony :/ even the z5 premium camera wasnt so good and ive seen an ois test for one of these x phones and its not pretty

Final nail in the coffin! I thought Sony is creating another niche phone with the X Performance but no they are giving a flagship price without a flagship most important feature, 4k recording. The X I thought would be a super midrange but no they are pricing it just below the the X performance..... Goodluck Sony..

you are late Sony , people wont wait till 20th of June to pick up a phone 6 months old in specs.
The Price is OK given the phone has 2 speakers and water resistance plus a good design , but I cant wait till 20th of June , I delayed my phone purchase 2 months already and cant wait any longer ..
