Finally! I can't wait to buy the X Performance!
I choose the XP cos I think it is the perfect phone for 2016. SD820 on FHD, waterproof, SD Card. I don't care about the other features.

Sony has never excelled in any single flagship performance category when compared to what the S7, G5 and HTC 10 can offer. The regular S7 alone is a much more complete package than the X performance and its price has gone down as well since launch. But go on ahead and choose the overpriced sony. Keep supporting their delusional marketing strategy.

You look at one factor and deem that it's befitting of the price while the rest of us look at the total package. - 3GB ram is cheaper than 4 Gb ram

Slayer, 04 May 2016Sony, I love your products but simply not that much. Way to... moreActually no, Sony phones are the only ones that offer ALL the other features from other flagships in one GOOD package, example, lets review some flagships from this year:
Galaxy S7, almost everything, except that single bottom facing loudspeakers, what is this 2010?
HTC 10, almost everything, but then again, a bottom facing loudspeaker and no water resistance.
LG G5, almost everything, then again, no front facing stereo speakers, no water resistance.
Xperia X Performance, everything mentioned above.
So yeah, worth the price, it might not be the killer phone in a single field like samsung on display, lg on camera, htc on speakers??, but it offers a GREAT phone overall.
Thats why I pick sony anyways.

Seriously? ? Not even even to mention the ridiculous starting price which drops 50 % after 4 months. Ok let's see. I can remember that not long time ago Sony released 2 flagships a year!! What is the higher value the of the X performance as the s7 g5 htc 10 can be bought 40 % cheaper. Whatever I really liked the z3 compact. Maybe the best phone ever from Sony. Good luck with the x series.

The only problem with X is the build material and the phone looks kinda cheap. But all Z series looked like a real premium phone.
Anyway, no more Z, Sony made my life easier, now I have to decide only between Galaxy S Edge and Galaxy Note.

Plastic construction with metal back ... morei think its a metal chasis. and when it comes for quality of material used theres no doubt sony uses the best on their flagships. even their accesories are awesome. i have a 4year old xperia p. except for top & bottom removable cap entire body is made of metal, obviously screen is not made of metal.

I mean low end build. Plastic construction with metal back cover is low end design.
To make flat metal back with two holes for camera n flash is the easiest, i can make somthing like that with scissor ruler and drill, now compare it with complicated form metal chassis with many holes for screws, buttons, speaker grilles etc.

Sony, I love your products but simply not that much. Way too pricey for an upper mid range specified phone. Throw in QHD, 5.5" screen etc. and we may have a conversation. Based on spec, this should be no more than £350. End of.
Seriously, Sony needs to get a grip on reality!
