I can throw any game made it for and I am certainly sure it will run on my console. But in case of pc you have to be sure your pc meet the system required or else you have to spend $$$. And yeah not everyone is able to afford a 10000 $ gaming pc. Atleast for me console is the best machine to enjoying by gaming without burning hole is my pocket. :)

Douche big ego people tell gamers that their games aren't fun cause they didn't spend enough money buying hardware.
Pacman and space invaders had pretty basic graphics, yet are fun. Pokemon outsells prettier games.. (I have a 'ninja rig'; just doesn't make me 'more into games'; know more about hardware and pc troubleshooting, sure....)

Their performance cannot make up for company ethics...
I have run nearly every generation of Nvidia video card since the riva TNT. You could say I've been a fan. Ageia PhysX should have been more than a bullet point in marketing literature.
The Witcher 3 was the last straw (the one that broke the camels back), they gave us software PhysX (cause the title was going multiplat; all of which used AMD), and screwed all users over by their 'GAMEWORKX' campaign (the one that artificially hobbles /optimises for poor performance of competitors cards even at the expense of making their own users get suboptimal performance).
The fact that gone are the dayswhen older cards got driver optimisations first (newer cardshaving enough grunt that they could suffer with a few less % performance), now they optimise for the latest, purposefully leaving the last gen cards in the dust (knowing or hoping that some customers will just buy their new product).
Benchmark scores of their 7 series vs their 9 series showed an ever widening gap, and it wasn't reasonable that the 780s were made to perform less capably than even the 960.
When users started to notice performance wasn't scaling as it should; they *finally* magically restored performance....
But whilst it was going on.... Numbers just likethis articlequotesmade much marketing literature.
Oh and users figured out how to circumvent GAMEWORKX intentional handicapping.
Simply on company ethics alone- I couldn't touch these...which is a shame, cause I've waited long enough for the 'big generational upgrade'that makes an upgrade viable now, and, upon first reading this article, was going to be an early adopter of one of these bad boys.
(TL;DR? Dont buy green team on principle!; also AMD is in every other product on market... Even if NVIDIA garnish more than half the pc user base, programmers get better usage of time when optimising for AMD architecture due to the being in all the consoles..)

980 is fine for now, but I'll probably upgrade to 1080 Ti when it's released.
