...soo run by me what's wrong with an item made in India (a Democratic state with full personal liberties) Vs China (an oppressive Communist regime) Have you seen the subhuman conditions of china factories?, the forced labor?, the suicide nets?...
But that set aside this is like allways a cost cutting decision. What impresses me is that labor is now so cheap in India that is beating china for contracts. The average chinese worker at an electronics factory makes about 90 to 350 dollars a month (according to the documentary Factory City Discovery channel) imagine how less will an indian make to make this shift competitive.

Me too, I am very old user of iPhone from iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6, 6s not only me but my family also using iPhone mobiles and iPad tablets but IF there will be made in india on the back of iPhone or any Apple's product, I with my whole family will leave to use the iPhone or iPad or iPod or any other Apple's product.
I will prefer to move on Android.

I know that is unfair .. it is like hitting blind person with a stick.. Put it simply - apple relies on people stupidity and lack of awareness to market their phones and sell them. It is nothing unique about iphones.

If you want to make more profit, you either need to make the cheaper or sell them more expensive. As indian made iphones not going to be any different priced from ones in china and obviously apple does that for improving profits that is obvious that the only reason for this move is - to manufacture iphones cheaper.

[deleted post]Besides China, India has the largest market where we offer cheap labor so basically Apple is setting up their factory because it is more profitable for them instead of setting one in US or any other place.
And also, we do not manufacture cheap low quality products in India so you better mind that tongue of yours boy.

This can contribute scarce of works and they will pay less for every work that they have done. So this is the chance for huge company to get profit from every single product they sell. I read an article about the salary of apple workers in china, and surprisingly it is really low than what we get in the countries that have not much population. This is really a successful strategy for them to get more profit. If they build in US, the goverment will impose a minimum wages and they will demand high salary for every workers because the high daily expenses over there. Which companies are want to get low profit? They already made calculation about this and the china and india are the most strategic places for them take advantages of huge population of people over these two countries. Hope this is clear for you.
