Samsung unveils 256GB microSD card, shipping in June for $249.99

A year and a bit after SanDisk unveiled its 200GB behemoth of a microSD card, Samsung has managed to best that. The Korean company today has announced a 256GB microSD card, which is UHS-I, Class 10 (U3) compatible.

So your essentially paying almost a dollar for every gigabyte.

    The card is slower than the latest card unveiled by SanDisk. I'll therefore be getting the new 128gb when it comes out.

        People using XIAOMI phones better not comment, it not for 150 $ phones. Keep cheap devices only for 4GB class 2 cards.

            My 500GB Samsung SSD was cheaper than that microSD card. Although that SSD is significantly larger than that tiny microSD card.

                With the 200MB Sansa MicroSD card selling for $80 in the US, they're dreaming if they think they can charge anywhere close to $250 for a mere 50MB extra capacity.
